My wife heard good things about this show on HBO Max.
About 10 years ago my father flew into Colorado. He hated flying! I picked him up from the airport, which is about 5 hours from every location in Colorado it seems like. So hours of TSA nonsense, a 3.5 flight and then another couple of hours to get home. He was a little cranky.
I was watching my wife's dogs at the time. She was not my wife yet. Gritty and Honey, our two golden retrievers, were at my house and when my dad and I got home and my father saw the two dogs, he lit up in JOY. The man liked good dogs. It was the best part of his day.
Back to White Lotus, I wasn't sure if I was going to like an HBO show about what seemed to be a bunch of rich pricks being rich pricks to one another. I don't particularly enjoy seeing depictions of people being mean to service workers. So at first I thought this might be something to endure.
I didn't know anything about the cast going in. I recognized Steve Zahn through sunglasses. The woman that is everywhere now who plays a high-maintenance alcoholic in many things appeared. A few minutes into White Lotus, though, Alexandra Daddario shows up and I would say my attitude toward this venture changed just like it did for my father at the start of this post.
We can binge this. That would be fine.
