Mannheim Steamroller comes to mind...

(I was going to drop an inappropriate mention of the sound of a beer cap twisting off, but this is the wrong place for it)

I've found that the kind of music you enjoy often mirrors your own personal disposition and attitude towards life. For instance, I go home these days and look at my CD collection, full of hard, angry music... Tool, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine... and I remember liking them, but now when I go to pick out something to listen to, none of it really seems to appeal to me anymore.

Good thing I kept all those CD's I never listened to back when I was a member of the Classical CD Club (really! Lots of the CD's still have their plastic wrap on them...)

Is there any more soothing sound that the lilting melody of a gently played violin?

I've always thought, and still think, that The Donnas are a joke band, not-for-real, like The Monkees, Spinal Tap & Huey Lewis and The News.
