Having seen Cranston in the (not very good) remake of [i]Total Recall[/i] in the part originally played by Ronny Cox, I tell you he reminds me a lot of Richard Crenna.

I'll bet he could have played [i]Rambo[/i]'s boss in the first movie as well as Crenna.

It was fantastic. Anyone who thought it was awkward is either a prissy-pants or doesn't get jokes, or doesn't know how good friends those two are. Or all three.
