Dan Snyder sucks.

He's right. In school they taught us that cotton was king and the slaves were always being whupped. They taught us the Northern version.
It would have better to teach us both points of view and have a discussion.

Dixie isn't the problem to be honest. Not sure if anyone else here grew up in the south but the problem is that they don't teach their kids the truth of what happened in slavery and jim crow. In S. Carolina, my history textbook had only several pages about the entire antebellum south and made sure to call the civil war the "war of northern agression". It's really not the fault of southern millinials and older (gen y, etc) kids who have no idea what really transpired. Nobody does their own reading or research anymore for the last couple decades. It's the school system and their racist parents who are perpetuating shit that will probably lead to some kind of civil war dystopia in this lie of a democracy.

That would make too much sense.

Re: Should the Redskins change their name?

Couldn't we have left it as: "everything with the word Dixie in it's name"?

Instead of listing them all? In the spirit of brevity, I mean.

Don't know why you think that, but nope, quite real.

That is part of the hoax, bud. This is like if someone told you that Big Foot is a hoax and you produce the Patterson film. :)

This is fine! Tdarcos bringing up Winn Dixie grocery stores was the total “oh that other thing named Dixie I forgot” moment.

At those prices of about $6 each I would hope it would do at least two whole chickens per packet, pouch or bag. Actually it does say twin pack does about 32 pieces, so if that is two packs then that is about 4 chickens.

As I mentioned to some of you guys before, they have officially renamed the “Dixie Classic Fair” in Winston-Salem to something without the word Dixie in it out here. Because people said it reminded them of slavery days or some shit. Go ahead and look up the Wikipedia article on the word but I can tell you right now (as many of you fellow nerds know) Wikipedia editors have their own issues. To me and many others it’s always just meant things in states south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Period. Full stop and shit.

It will cost over 30,000$ I can’t even get started yet on my insight of a person with the mentality to piss away this amount of money for something so benign.

What’s next?

Dixie brand plastic cups?
The Dixie Chicks?
Dixie Carter?
Dixie Express fast food joint?

How about the female hotel receptionist I met in Alabama named Dixie?

The name of the city it’s in is also the name of 2 cigarette brands produced there. Let’s change the name of that just like stock car racing changed “Winston Cup” to Nextel Cup or wtf ever while we are at it?

So incredibly fucking stupid.

Okay, it's 2019 again, we're back. Here's the thing. They could just -- well, not "they," it's one guy, who is an asshole. Dan Snyder could change the name in two seconds and make them the Pigskins. Nothing would otherwise change. A lot of people call 'em "The Skins" anyway.

Yes, every six months it comes back. Fine, the people wanting it changed win. Just stop the story. I wish that these people were as worked up with the actual difficulties that Indians face.
This is a strong take on my part. Make them the Bullets. hahah, god, I'm awesome.

I actually agree completely. I think evolution has done us a huge disservice in making average idiots care most about their own families or people who look like or resemble them. I get that natural selection drove this sick mindset but people should care about the well being of everyone in a civilized society so that "all boats can rise together".
