McTiernan should be getting out later this month.

Has already gotten a gig.

The guy who noticed this and posted it on JC was found dead in his house. He committed suicide by stabbing himself in the back.

Perhaps even more bizarrelly:

The guy who wrote that article for buzzfeed less than a month ago was just killed in a car accident!

Had he told the FBI to go fuck themselves instead of answering their questions - which legally, you are completely entitled to refuse to do - he wouldn't be doing a year in club Fed.

I don't know WTF I just watched but the part where he said "I'm thrusting again and again" made me giggle.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. I DO hate something more than that. Laughing babies.

Don't go over to Robb's house!

If you think prison is bad, look where Lloyd Kaufman ("The Toxic Avenger") ended up:

Directing is for the young. All old directors should go to prison before they completely lose it.

Was anyone else hoping that at the end of the story, Bruce Willis was going to take his shoes off, storm in and break him out?

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Tue May 28, 2013 11:05 pm

Jesus. Having read the article, every single person involved in the prosecution deserves to get fired and/or actually get the lead in Die Hard 5.

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Tue May 28, 2013 11:00 pm

I haven't read the article yet, but I assume he got sent to prison for Rollerball? And the reason his wife is crying is because she saw Die Hard 5?

by lethargic » Tue May 28, 2013 8:43 pm

It really IS sad that this didn't happen before Rollerball though. Rollerball effectively ended his career. To have one movie result in the end of your career AND get you sent to prison, that is harsh. Had this happened before that he'd still have a career to come back to when he gets out of prison. Instead he has career of directing infomercials to come back to.

Right.
Well, that depends. What movies have they made? If any of them were responsible for the last few Die Hards instead, then starvation is too good for them.

I did. I was just commenting on the crying wife number at the beginning. It's kind of cheap, imo. Don't you think so too?
Sure? Look, I don't care. I want him out of jail so he can start making movies again.
