I don't know... An adaptation by Spike Jonze featuring Tony Soprano was pretty much what I envisioned as a kid.

It's a disgrace to put this in the movies base but I didn't see a book one.

Where the Wild things are is one of my favorite books as a kid. It told of the kind of escapism I would enjoy in my later years in various forms of illicit substance abuse. In a way.

I can only assume they butchered the movie because that's what always happens when you love a book and then see the movie, but I'll reserve judgement.
Now you know... and Knowing is Half the Battle! (TM)
