I really like 'Panic Switch' and have wondered if the rest of the album was good. Thank you for the recommendation!

And E.T. is fucking terrible.

I'm in Brian's car as we're driving to the Austin airport. The night previous we played - along with his wife - "The Song Game."

The Song Game is where you have to be the first person to say the artist and song name, and you get a point if you are the first to do both.

I was using the Shazam app on my iHipster to verify the songs, so it was fresh in my mind. (I would pay money to simply get a version of Shazam that never, ever had a popup.)

So, Shazam was fresh on my mind. We were playing a MINI-match of the Song Game on the way to the airport, and a song by the Silversun Pickups came on. I heard it, identified it, and purchased it within a couple minutes.

Then I went and got the album. I can't believe how good it is! It's like if pop punk grew up, which it will some day. I'll post videos in this thread that will mean absolutely nothing to anyone, but it will capture the essential magic of being in a frozen, barren wasteland and still amazingly happy in spite of it, with music that makes me happy because it isn't in the slightest.

And if this doesn't work, we can all go back to talking about Neuromancer.

This is "Sort Of".
