no negative side effects other than the cost.

Well, I don't know how one is supposed to pronounce it, but I go like this:

no-TROPE-ix

It's a pretty fun word to say!

I got involved with them because Lex pointed them to me. Believe me, I was stunned to see that there were no side effects. I'd usually keep this to myself, but there's been little else to discuss around here, so BOOM nootropics story!

Dude, I'm with you. I think.
Explain how you got involved in this "nootropics" thing, and why you are so quick to give it a proper name instead of just 'this shit that makes me smarter'?

I hear that shit makes you hyper-aggressive. "Noo-rage", I think it's called.

Magnolia sucked

IIRC, Thurston's death rattle was three hours and thirty minutes long

It's been what 8 years now? I think Kodak's had time to make the requisite amount of film stock for Magnolia II

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:44 pm

So, no Magnolia II then

MOTION CARRIES!

by ChainGangGuy » Thu Sep 17, 2009 12:19 pm

Thanks, Pinner. Those are indeed some great quotes. I make a motion to fly the Jolt Country flag at half-mast for the next week in remembrance of the fallen Mr. Gibson.

Henry Gibson, who should have been, but wasn't, most famous for his portrayal of Thurston Howell in Magnolia, died.

In his honor, let's enjoy some of his awesome quotes from that movie:

"Gently, son!"

"I'm sick."
"Good! Stay that way!"

"It was the lovely Samuel Johnson! Who also spoke of a fellow 'who was not only dull... but a cause of dullness.'

"Things go round and round, don't they?"

"Sounds sad as a weeping willow."

"It's a dangerous thing to confuse children with angels."

"I'm sick and I'm in love."
"You seem the sort of person who confuses the two."

"Why don't you run along, friend, your dessert is getting cold."

"Just a spoke in the wheel."
