Yeah, the Milker and another guy from work caught them out here in Colorado a couple weeks ago, and said that they put on a great show.

Slipknot and Korn

Went last night to go see Slipknot and Korn in concert. A buddy of mine called me and said that he had free tickets and backstage passes. The price was right, so we went.

Korn was okay live. Jonathon Davis (lead singer) was animated but there wasn't a lot of stuff to look at. Slipknot was great. Say what you want about nu metal or guys wearing masks or whatever, but when a percussionist is standing on a scissor-lift 20 feet above the stage, spinning, and banging a keg with a baseball bat while another member is swinging off the contraption and hanging on for dear life ... that's entertainment.

The biggest surprise of the night was that at the age of 35, I was not the oldest person in attendance.
