It's invertebrate on invertebrate violence.

Hmm, Worm has been smashing grubs. Somehow this sounds, not cannibalistic - that's eating your own kind - but genocidal, or something like that.

Yeah, I got the gnome (and grub) achievements. That particular section for the gnome was way hard. What I ended up doing was shooting it with the gravity gun over the fence that overlooks the beginning of the train section (before you get to the farmhouse where that all begins). Then you can burn rubber to get to where you shot it. From there, I did the "shoot it far ahead of you"-and-drive-up-to-where-it-is method the rest of the way.

Yeah, I totally gave up on those achievements after I was totally SURE I had smashed all the grubs on a replay and apparently missed some.

Moving the Gnome in HL2:Ep2?

Has anyone here been able to complete the Gnome puzzle in Half-Life 2, Episode 2? You have to lug the goddamn gnome all across half of Europe to get it to White Forest and insert it in the rocket.

The problem comes when we get the 1/2 of the 1969 Dodge Charger, the Gnome doesn't really want to stay in the car, and I have trouble keeping it in place, especially during the fight where Gordon and Alyx are running away from where the Combine Advisor almost ate them, and are being chased by a helicopter gunship, if the gnome falls out you're not really in a position to go back for it, because you'll be cut to ribbons.

It's been done, but it's damned hard.
