I originally played it very quickly and returned it. I thought the atmosphere was great, but ended up playing through it on easy. After replaying it later I came to think, it couldn't make up it's mind about what it wanted to be and took no strong gameplay stances, so essentially it was great atmosphere and not much else.
Where System Shock 1 had very strong gameplay elements which made it feel like a combination of FPS and RPG.
Kid, I was playing computer games 15 years before you were born. I've worked professionally as a salaried game designer at a company that was purchased by Rockstar. In fact, I just deposited the check I got from my share of that deal. I personally know a couple of the guys who MADE System Shocks 1 and 2, as well as Bioshock. One of them is coming to a party I'm having later in the summer. I know more about computer games than you'll ever dream of knowing.
Saying you worked as a game designer really isn't terribly impressive. If time in the industry magically made you know what is right and wrong in gaming we'd be swimming in excellent games. Hard work and knowing the right people isn't insight.
Saying you're friends with people who made the game you're baring teeth over, in anticipation of an attack just makes you look unforgivably biased.
It's glaringly obvious from every message you post.
For most people this would make it
not worth constantly repeating.
