Did you like this for the same reason you dug the singing scene in Magnolia?

I cried like an emotionally suppressive baby!

I thought you were afflicted with a serious emotional disorder though.

I went to this movie because my girlfriend is a big Frames fan, and the lead singer/songwriter plays the main character in this movie. I, along with everyone else, had no idea who the "Frames" were, and I'm still not sure I'm a particular fan, but I'm not reviewing the Frames here, I'm reviewing this movie.

This movie is a "musical", but one in which the music comes organically from the story, not as artificial set pieces where people just randomly break out into song for no apparent reason. It is eighty-five minutes long. And here is what I will say about it:

If you don't have chills within 10 minutes, are not choking back tears within 20 minutes, and are not grinning wildly throughout the entire playing time of the movie, and do not leave the theater feeling ten times the person you were when you went in, you are afflicted with a serious emotional disorder, and should seek professional, qualified care at your earliest opportunity.

It is motherfucking LIFE-AFFIRMING, you bastards!

FOUR AND A HALF (****1/2) STARS! Holy shit!
