[REVIEW] Harsh Times

The writer of Training Day takes a swing at directing essentially the exact same movie. The result is a virtual remake of Training Day, except several orders of magnitude more over the top (which is hard to imagine). The result is an often very silly, almost "intentionally unintentionally funny" movie of ridiculous caricatures, which nonetheless keep you riveted to the screen. One is almost forced to call this a "bad movie", but I found it so friggin' entertaining to watch that I couldn't with a clear conscience give it the ol' thumbs-down.

And the ending was sure a hell of a lot better than Training Day. Course, so is a pile of yak puke.
