My father is a reluctant Giants fan. Loved them for decades, but dosn't really like to discuss it much. I kept trying to get Robb to taunt my Dad during the game, but I guess he wants the man to like him, or something.

Well, that shopuld be the last time they have to go into that shithole of a stadium for a little while. Seriously, Jets, Giants, pre-season this year, Giants this year ... if I had to hang around hardcore New Yorkers from New York City four times in a year and a half I'd mouth slob a tailpipe.

I do not wish to jinx it... but it's been a long time since I've seen the Saints clobber somebody like that.

The last two games that come to mind are a 43-29 defeat of the Washington Redskins a few years back and a 35-10 defeat (score not exact, but close) of the 49ers in 2000.

But still. The media making a big deal of NFC teams doesn't bug me. Everyone else can get theirs if my team does too. So I take no special pleasure that it was the Cowboys that were defeated tonight. I'm just glad it was an NFC team.

I've never been able to root for an offense like this. They could legitimately go to the Super Bowl. Sure, they'd get crushed by an AFC team (pick one... it wouldn't matter) but just getting there... this is the first year I've ever thought that they had a chance. Wow.
