Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles DL Jevon Kearse (knee) completely tore his medial collateral ligament (MCL) during the Week 2 game. He also suffered partial tears to his lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). In addition to the ligament injuries, Kearse suffered a popped hamstring tendon, a strained quadriceps tendon, a dislocated knee cap, a fractured tibia and tore the capsule that holds it all together. The good thing about Kearse's injury is he did not tear his ACL, which would have completely dislocated one part of his leg from the other. With his ACL intact, Kearse could be ready for training camp in 2007.

PHILADELPHIA -- Jevon Kearse will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury the star defensive end sustained in Philadelphia's overtime loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Jevon Kearse gets helped off the field after hurting his knee in overtime. -- Thanks, Fox (ICJ)

Kearse's injury included sprains of multiple ligaments, including the medial collateral ligament, the lateral collateral ligament, and the posterior cruciate ligament.

Shit. Knew it wasn't an ACL, did not know that it was the lateral and posterior as well. Still, I am giving myself credit on this one, because it's my made-up game.

I called Kris Jenkins's, Deuce McAllister's and now Jevon. Nobody can stop me. How can I use this power for self-gain?

Jevon was NOT carted off the field. Great reporting, Fox.

No, instead, the trainers did that thing where the player "walks" off the field, but really doesn't because his (in this case) left leg never makes contact with the ground.
