Yes. That is failmath.com a website which is a testament to being distracted from updating your site.

Someone posted a pretty good walkthrough of Facade somewhere. I can't find it, but it consisted of the player saying "FUCK YOU n!33r" to Trip until he walked back inside and closed the door.

EDIT:
Yeah, that's it. I like how Trip starts off smiling before he just stares at the player.

Solves your mp3 compression issues... foreeeever~. Also ignore it when it says that hte portable option is only suitable for high-noise environments, it sounds just the same to my ears and it's considerably smaller. If you don't care about stereo, go into custom and compress it to 64KbPS mono to save even more space.

Did they update it with a scenario other than "two worthless maggots who are horribly cliche"?

Oh. And Facade is interesting and uncomfortable, which could very well be what the developers were hoping for. I wouldn't call it a "game," strictly, but you could say the same thing about a lot of IF and that doesn't mean it's bad or anything. And who cares about labels anyway.

Upon retrospect, I think I am most impressed that the Facade guy got that 1 GB to compress down to 113 MB. I couldn't compress sheeeeeeit when it came to MP3s.

ND is good tho. The use of photos of the characters make it much more ......good.

Necrotic Drift is 36.8 megs.

A 36 meg text adventure?

36 megs for... Interactive Words!?

[quote="AArdvark"]Half-Life 2 with it's five CDs hit the open air markets. Small wonder there are three and four hundred gig hard drives.

ND fits on... 36 floppy diskettes! Outrage!

I will collect proof that modern technology was invented to accomadate the horrid menace of portability that Mr. Sherwin has turned the IF genre into.

No. That's because I use filesystems that DON'T SUCK.

Also, Facade is horrible. Designers need to know when to make an opensource engine and let people mod it.

The sad part is, that's quickly becoming normal. I remember when Diablo 2 came out and a full install was over a gig, I was amazed. Then Half-Life 2 with it's five CDs hit the open air markets. Small wonder there are three and four hundred gig hard drives. Ever have to defrag one of those monsters?

JESUS CHRIST.

The installer is only 113 MB and you can get it via BitTorrent. I am just stunned that 1) it takes up that much space and 2) it's taking me the equivalent of one gigaday to get around to playing it.
