I am amazed at how bad Walrustitty comes off in this thread.

Hi draal. You're still as boring as fuck.

rob and chiggers and superman 2

by pinback » Wed Jul 11, 2007 11:53 am

So Ice Cream Jonsey is Rob?

In that case, I know Rob. In case you folks have forgotten, I make an appearance here once every year or so just to keep things lively for you all and to help you stave off the thoughts of self-murder that constantly swirl around and suffocate you.

Now when I do it, people cannot tell that I'm not pinback until I tell them. This little wrinkle might be good for a yuck here and there but it also might send people spinning off into mild pyschoses of their own choosing, which is antithetical to why I am here in the first place.

On the subject of Superman II, I will say that I love that movie. So campy and fun. Better than #1, I submit. General Zod was such a badass. Clark turned into such a pussy, though. How could he get his ass kicked so bad by the guy in the diner? Even if he wasn't made of steal anymore he shouldn't have lost his ass-kicking muscle memory to the extent he obviously did. Sort of took me out of the movie.

Signed,

Not Pinback

P.S. Ben, how long till you actually get pissed and ask me all passive-aggressively to logoff? Hmmm?

P.P.S. Maybe you can start signing your posts with "Not Pinback" and we can make people guess which one of us is the real you.

P.P.P.S. Maybe you are the real you and I'm the fake me and you're just fucking with ME right now. I don't like this one bit. Stop it already.

Two bs, if you please! Then again, for all I know you're on some strange kick to not spell the names of your friends correctly. I expect that one is currently fuming right now going, "It's BO, Parrish, you dipshit."

Beau is here because in my "top five list of funniest people I know", he came in third, and you came in second, and Clash came in first.
I like Beau already!

Then over dinner I realized (I don't remember what caused me to realize this)
You do your best thinking over meals. If I remember right, you decided the following, with the following meal attached:

- To Rejoin California (Chicken korma with extra basil)
- To Ask Kat on a Date (¼ ounce bottle, Shriller's Kill Sauce)

This bothered and continues to bother Beau to no end, and he will likely not stop until you kneel before Zod and relinquish your comedy throne.
Speaking of movies like Superman II, I did some research on what the lowest-rented movie was on Netflix. It's this flick from 1996 called Chiggers. I just naturally assumed that it was a horror movie in line with other, similarly-titled flicks like Troll or Leprechaun and that reason alone was why it was so unpopular.

But that's not it! The reason it's the worst-rented movie on Netflix is because, when it arrives, the envelope is all floppy. You think to yourself, "Hey... what movie is in here?" and open the Netflix packaging. The sleeve doesn't have any writing on it, so you blow it open to get the disc to fall out, but instead a thousand buzzing chiggers fall out and get in your eye.

That being said, with no actual disc present, its User Rating is still a half star better than "Ghost Rider."

I forgot about CEotTK. It is definitely one of the top ten movies of all time. I'll put it... SEVENTH.

Please, in the future, edit your original post thrice rather than posting three times.

Rob, introduce yourself. Beau is here because in my "top five list of funniest people I know", he came in third, and you came in second, and Clash came in first.

Then over dinner I realized (I don't remember what caused me to realize this) that Clash was no longer worthy of the top spot, so he got moved down, which put Beau at #2 and you (Rob) at #1.

This bothered and continues to bother Beau to no end, and he will likely not stop until you kneel before Zod and relinquish your comedy throne.

shit

by pinback » Wed Jul 11, 2007 8:31 am

I'm you?!

Did you log on to your stupid shit while you were here last? Was I taking a crap when you managed to do that?

Are people confused right now?

Do you think you can figure out a way to log yourself off from work, or else do you think I am going to start posting shit that's even funnier than yours while I have this power?

I feel somehow God-complexy right now.

My name is Ben and I am an alcoholic.

I think your list is pretty good. Although I don't think Godfather II holds a candle to its predescessor, a word I know I spellted wrongs.

I also realize that you started this thread over 18 months ago. Am I late to the party or what? I bet your whole list has done changed by now, what with Transformers out and also Bruce Willis' new movie about shooting off guns into the air and not at people.

Which one is Rob?

I haven't seen HF yet to weigh in yet as to whether it's better.

The book of The Shining was waaay better than the movie. But I still like this trailer for the movie best:

I fucking hate Blade Runner. It's one of the worst waste of times I've ever spent, both reading anything by Philip K. Dick and watching that piece of crap. So count me as another person who hates that garbage.

If you don't put Blue Velvet on the list I will do something terrible to your rectum with a pair of wire strippers.

by pinback » Tue May 22, 2007 2:14 pm

Contrarily, I have yet to find someone who thought HF superior.

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Tue May 22, 2007 10:50 am

I, too, thought that HF was not as good as Shaun. We seem to be the only two people in the world to hold this opinion. Our backs are against the wall and we're going to have to fight our way out not with guns, but with cricket bats.

And the "TIED TO THIS FUCKING THREAD" comment from Gerrit in the Thing Game thread from months ago was one of the best statements ever, and I regret not saying such at the time. I had needed to see The Thing again to refresh.

Yes. One might have inferred that from my statement that Hot Fuzz was not as good as Shaun of the Dead, but nobody's perfect.

I want to know if Pinner saw Shaun of the Dead.

Also, I didn't really like Dark City. It was doing just fine until that mofo started flying. That's also where the Matrix movies became a waste of time, although I'd put pre-flying Dark City ahead of pre-flying The Matrix.

Don't make your characters fly. Ever. Unless he's Superman, Hawkman or Shaft.

Speaking of great films there are only two movies I've seen that would get the very top or the five star rating and they are:
The Shining- The acting, scenery, and suspense of this film make this the ultimate horror classic. Nothing will top this one. My #1 film.
Fight Club-A great cast, storyline, and loads of action. This movie really is the shit plus Marla Singer is really hot! My #2 film.

Tell me Pinback, how many stars would you give The Shining? (that is if you have seen it).
