Bleh.

The only worthwhile thing about this band is that they feature a song called "Seneca Falls" which refers to the "crotch of New York State."

Okay, now this is punk rock. The production values are rock bottom and every chorus is repeated at least three times in a row at the end in an effort to get it over as a mantra. Sometimes that works (Sick of it All, I am a Revenant), sometimes it doesn't (Bullet and the Bullseyem City of Angels). I'm not sure whether I prefer this raw punk as fuck approach or the slicker and fuller sound of Coral Fang (if there aren't at least a few purple-haired fruitcakes somewhere on the internet whining about how the band sold out on Fang, I'll be incredibly disappointed); but in spite of that I'm pretty sure this is the better album.

So much so that I'm actually tempted to go find the aforementioned fruitcakes and fake my way into whining with them. The violent posturing that colored the better bits of Fang isn't entirely absent (thankfully), but it's tempered with a certain amount of actual thought and honest personal experience that, more than poor recording equipment, gives everything a very "real" feeling.

Status: RECOMMENDED!!
