Technically, a nest would indicate a kind of bird, whereas a rodent is a mammal.
Jonsey, what do they call the place a rat sets up to live in, shredded bedding or cotton or newspaper or other such trash, or a messy place with stuff strewn all over?

A rat's nest.

Well, tonight I had a problem with it. The kick out solenoid (I think) has two wires going to it, and one of them tore loose from where it was soldered on.

I get that the wiring is tight on these things because every millimeter saved was lots of ... er ... wire saved, but since the thing is home use, I want to do it the right way. My thought is to do a repair and give it a little slack. I did solder the wire back onto where it was supposed to go, and it kicked a couple of balls, but then it tore loose again.

Easy fix. I don't have decent light where it is now, when it is dark, so I will fix it correctly tomorrow. But my "all games are working counter" has been reset.

We could do this!

OMG, thanks Flack! Yeah, a Raspberry Pi seems great, especially since my Plex one is probably going to free up.

I think I also need an animatronic robot that looks like Rod Serling in the corner, smoking at all times, cycling through the various TZ introductions. This may require a robot, or an actor. Either way, it should keep the varmints away from the garage. The most difficult part of this will probably be getting an exception for the cigarette he holds, because of fire restrictions.

Yeah, with enough adapters you can do it. Looks like you need a 3.5mm to coax adapter, an RF modulator, and then an input. In this YouTube video this guy used a camcorder followed by a digital TV antenna as inputs, but personally I'd use another adapter and use a Raspberry Pi as a source. I'd just throw a big SD card in there and copy a bunch of Twilight Zone videos over to it and write a little script that showed them in random order. I'll let Jiz and Vark pitch in on the adapters needed, but it's definitely possible. For $100 or so you would definitely have a one of a kind addition to your table!

I have a Sony Watchman.

I feel there must be a way to broadcast a TV signal to it somehow and have it as a topper or something, showing TZ episodes.

It could maybe take an RF adapter?

Like, a VCR can be setup to do that I think?

I am 100% in favor of hosting a weekend "JCFEST" at some point. I don't even think I am going to sell WoW, I think I am just going to move some garage stuff so my wife can park there and keep everything.

Hell yeah.

I’m gonna have to fly out there sometime to play it out for a couple of days. Would be much cheaper than ever owning one lol

Well, that makes a lot of sense. I feel that when I have questions about the banking industry and you answer them, I do go "that makes sense." That is why there is no "Great Moments in Banking History" thread.

Morally, she would have been just as correct to explain to me the dangers of what I was doing, but she was pinhead-adjacent, so SCORE.

They said that they usually had a limit of taking 5,000 dollars out at a time. But then she was able to get the rest of it for me. At first she wasn't sure if they had enough hundreds. But they did! There should be a skit done about a bank robber that keeps coming into the bank after a pinball enthusiast makes a cash withdrawl and comes away from his robberies with a bunch of dog-eared fives and "through the wash" singles.
But congratulations on finally getting the table of dreams!
Thanks! The guy said there are stairs going "down" so we'll see what kind of debacle this is. He seems like he will at least help me steady it.
Pix!
I promise and commit to pics! The usual photos of TZ on the internet aren't great. They should have sent an artist. I will have to do.

Cool! Hope the sale goes smooth.

I actually used to enjoy talking to my local bank teller when I'd pull out a few hundred to take to an arcade auction. She seemed genuinely interested in the games!

I am moving on it.

Went to the bank to withdraw cash. The teller asked me what it was for. In the process of getting it. She didn't ask me what it was for first. Because ya know, it's my money. But I don't care, this is the real world not a hypothetical scenario, so I mentioned a pinball and she asked which one and I said TZ and she said that she had played that one. I have the force of my bank on my side!

Picking it up tomorrow.

We went to Home Depot yesterday to get some assorted, small items. They had $5,000 sheds that certainly look waterproof. It is unclear what the $300 ones are meant to do, if the $5000 ones look like the solve the issue.

And now I am thinking, maybe I just get something in place to shelter my wife's Jeep from the snow? The garage is already wired via an electrician to have the electrical power necessary to power all the games. Moving the games seems dumb to me in that respect. I don't know.

The goal I think I am really trying to achieve is that my wife gets ready for work on a winter's day, doesn't have to dig her car out of snow, meaning the windshield and assorted other crap, she just backs it up and drives it out. I should take a picture of our setup right now.

Technically, a nest would indicate a kind of bird, whereas a rodent is a mammal. So I grant you that I don't want one of the Ani-Men, like "Bird Man" to be near this structure. That is a job for the X-Men.

You have given me much to consider. I am not worried about varmints getting in, because they don't get into the garage, but the water thing is not something I can accept. I don't want it to be MOIST.

I am halfway toward my goal. That is all.

Okay I guess that is not all. There was one posted on pinside a few towns over.
