I'm surprised that nobody mentioned a couple of my favorites:

The Airwolf helicopter. (i was reminded of airwolf the other day when i heard part of the theme song as part of Blockbuster's in store advertising). That was a wicked-ass helicopter even if the guns aren't real.

K.I.T.T. from Knight rider

I laughed most of the time. Mostly when that little j-pop punk princess was on the T.V.
That was great. I knew after seeing that scene that this wasn't ment to be taken completely seriously. It was violent don't get me wrong but it was mostly a satire of how the government handles problems. It's like the modest proposal by Jonathan Swift. Eating children as a way to solve the population problems/starving/poor problem.

Sick! Sick! You're all sick!

I watched a bootleg of Battle Royale, and just recently got a legit copy from Hong Kong - DTS sound, even. Cost all of $5 for a 100% legal copy.

Seen the trailer for the sequel? Pretty fucked up, complete with terrorists blowing up several buildings in a very 9/11-style scene. You used to be able to get it from the official site, but it's asked for some p/w or another (and it's all in Benji, good luck reading it)... one of the BR fan sites probably has it for download though.

If I did get a Green Destiny sword (unlikely), it'd probably just sit on the wall of my home theater (which will hopefully be functional by this winter.)

I laughed most of the time. Mostly when that little j-pop punk princess was on the T.V. then more when that Gym Teacher looking bastard stood up after being riddled with bullets.

So you saw Battle Royal...did you think it was a dark comedy? JQW and I were having a sort of debate about it. I said I laughed all the way through the movie. He told me it wasn't that kind of film.

I think though that whenever you stuff a granade into a decapatated head and then throw it through a window, you've got to expect a few laughs.

Hah! Someone else saw Battle Royale! That's a great film. It's a factory sword not forged I don't know how good it would for for fencing. I think they make the blades then attach the hilts rather than creating it to be swung around. I did cut a melon in half mid air with my bro's katana though.

Oh, how could I forget? I even shopped around for this one. Vega's mask and claw from Street Fighter: The Movie.

Interesting... $88 ain't too bad, but I really have no legitimate need for such a thing. I suppose I could fence with it, but you'd almost need two of 'em - so I guess I'll stick with my foils.

One of the necklaces from Battle Royale might be good, too.

Oh, didn't even think of this - one of the eggs from Alien (or Aliens) would be really cool. Sitting in the corner, open, with a little trail of gunk going behind one of the chairs... just a little something to keep guests on edge.

Are computer graphics really a prop?

It's just a Tai Chi sword guys ... it isn't as much money as a Katana or something. Though remember replicas are replicas and that blade is heavier than the hilt ... swing to hard and that blade will fly off.

Price is probably due to the etching. Not to bad ... my brother's Highlander Katana ran about 129.

EDIT: Yoda's Chair from Episode one. Probably captain chairs from the various Star Wars movies too. Maybe the entire conference room from first contact.

I would SO beat you down for that sword, I could excuse it, I gave you a wife after all....

I want the marble painting/statue with the moving faces of tortured souls in Devil's Advocate.

The friendly little alien ship from Flight of the Navigator. That thing rocked!

Heh, yeah. But how would you fit it in the door? You must mean just the queen; you'd probably give yourself some serious injuries if you tried to lift the whole queen/alien eggsack thing in there. And you'd probably never have any visitors ever again. "What... in the 8blue hell* is that?" "Oh, its an alien queen." "Aaaaiiiiaaaaaauuuuugghhhh!!!" :-)

by bot » Wed Jul 16, 2003 12:23 am

Well, it ain't a movie, but I think having the original Number 6's black sport vest from TV's "The Prisoner" would be pretty dang cool...

I have another one.

The Jaguar Hearse from Harold and Maude.

The car would be amusing, though it's just a regular ol' car and you'd have to explain to everyone... and most folks would only recognize it from Spiderman. Ahhh, those damn unwashed masses!

Jonsey, if I come across it, I'll scan in the contest page from Fangoria. The head was, I believed, used in the movie (in shots such as the one where he sticks in on the little spike note-holder) as well as in promo photos (the shot of Herbert West with a gleeful grin, holding it in the air in one hand with a syringe of reagent in the other.) Truly, a great prop.

As for the Houston 500 - you'd have to sterilize your house to even let anything from there in. Your house would look like the end of E.T., with the big bubble suits and shit. Ugh. (Cue the "monkey from Outbreak" line from Chasing Amy.)

by Debaser » Mon Jul 14, 2003 9:13 pm

Actually, having Sam Raimi's car would be cool.

by Violet » Mon Jul 14, 2003 6:43 pm

I want the golden ticket and
Sara's bracelet from Labyrinth.

I thought about the Re-Animator head, but couldn't recall if they ever used a model at any point. I guess they did, true 'nuff. Getting the actor's head and having that placed on your wall, well, that's kind of creepy.

I would like the strap-on blade from "SEVEN", please.
