No, the dots were because I was speechless after seeing the album cover.

Liz Phair, don't get me wrong, can look cruelly unhuman at times, but when she wants to look sexy and pucker at the camera, damn if she doesn't do it better than anyone else.

I'm sorry I objectified women.

But I'm happy it brought 1 back!

His Dad died? Ok. I can understand the moroseness now.

It's a pretty great Farrar year, what with the "Slaughter Rule" soundtrack and all the UT re-releases. I still haven't fully embraced the new album, but Farrar is the closest thing I have to a "favorite musician" -- Slobberbone is the only other artist in recent years where I've turned out to buy the thing on the first day -- and I'm confident I'll come around.

He doesn't appear to be playing Atlanta on the tour, though. Fucker.

Also, the new Liz Phair is the HAPPIEST thing she's ever done, and also probably the weakest. But oh my God what an album cover.

Not that anything he's done has ever been terribly HAPPY, but good grief. This makes "Sebastopol" look like Green Day.
The dude's dad did die (how's that alliteration?) last year.

Guess I gotta go listen.
