How the Christ are the Knights getting away with it. They are the best goddamn team in sports history for their first three years if they win this. This is not allowed!!!!

Well, since my suggestion that they might not lose a game in the playoffs, they have lost three straight, and WILL (not might) be eliminated in game 6 tomorrow.

I dunno what happened. They just forgot how to play at the wrong time.

Or they might.

In game 2 against the Golden Knights, VGK put up a much better fight. The Avs should definitely have lost that game, but they managed to screw it up.

They might not lose a game.

I don't care for what is going on with Tampa Bay right now. Any of their teams.

In a year where there is no generational talent, the Sabres managed to secure the #1 pick. Well, it was a lottery. But they won it. ..... Great? I guess defenseman Owen Power is going to be the guy.

Caught the Hurricanes beating Tampa Bay in overtime last night. That was cool.

They didn't even try to play defense on that

After predictably sweeping the first round, last night was game one against the only other team that has a chance, the "Vegas Golden Knights" which is still the worst team name in the history of sports.

The Avalanche destroyed them, 7-1, and it wasn't even that close. It got interesting when the third period devolved into a bunch of fights and nonsense, resulting in the first nine-minute power play I've ever seen, and a lot of bad blood (figuratively and literally.)

If the "Golden Knights" can come back from last night's pummeling, well, good for them, but watching the current Avalanche team, it's hard to imagine anyone beating them this year.

Nathan MacKinnon took a pass late in the second, and blew by two defensemen like they were standing still, then casually flipped the puck into the upper-right corner for a goal that looked like you turned the video game to easy mode and gave all of your guys 99 stats.

How you gonna stop this?

The Avalanche won the President's Trophy for best regular season. They are up 1-0 in the first playoff round, and I would be surprised if they just don't plow through all four games.

They might actually do it this year. Which is too bad, because my interest in hockey has WANED this season, both because it's kind of a goofy, limited, bizarre season, and because now that we're on the east coast, many of the games start around the time we're going to bed.

Oh well. Go Avs!

My dad got sick (heart stuff, not COVID-19) and passed away. But in terms of how long this streak is - the last time the Sabres won, my dad was healthy. He developed an ulcer, lost blood, got a transfusion, got better, I flew out to see him, got worse and passed away and the streak is still on-going.

The Buffalo Sabres killed my dad.

11 losses in a row for the Sabres.

No suspension for punching Dahlin in the face! It should be a bloodbath tonight.

Sabres with the 6-1 win over the Flyers tonight and it was pretty much domination. It is pleasurable to watch hockey instead of worrying about all the other things going on in the world.
