What do you have against Limp Bizkit?
Unlike Disturbed, I have heard off Limp Biskit before they were mentioned here. I have never heard any of their music so I have no opinion of them.

Well, they were talented enough to get "All Star" as the first song used in the movie Shrek, and considering they have at least enough talent to play reasonably well enough to carry a tune, I think they are both intellectually better than morons and not worthless, I must reject your opinion as unfounded, ma'am.

I am a little bit curious as to why this topic caused you to grace us with your presence. Are you a big Disturbed fan and your husband mentioned the band was getting trashed here, and not in a good way? (Getting trashed in a good way is when a band gets wasted and goes off on a weekend of illicit debauchery.)

LoL Limp Bizcunt

I recall about after that song became popular I was drunk in a topless bar. One of the girls came out to the song and I groaned as I took another shot and probably fired up another Marlboro. The annoyance did not last long. Suddenly my attention was drawn from the dancer to the club owner standing by the bar sporting a mullet mouthing the words and banging his head to.. "So what you wanna do now?!" from the terrible song known as "rollin".

I busted out laughing and pointed at the guy while mocking him, the song, and the whole situation. Was warned to simmer down. heh.

You obviously didn't read past Book One of the Dune Mythology :snort:

Disturbed is awful too, by the way. Needed to point that out.

I'm Disturbed alright.

I'm disturbed we spent this much discussion on a no-talent band that will soon fade (back) into obscurity.

You could say all of this and worse, but
If them I ever listen to
There'd be nothing left for me to do
Some would say they are a lost group in a lost world
You could say I lost my faith in the people on TV
You could say I'd lost my belief in our politicians
They all seemed like game show hosts to me."

And to think Sting wrote this years before a game show host became a politician.

Back when Godsmack and Disturbed were popular I always got them mixed up with each other haha

In that respect they're not unlike Godsmack. If you liked the first album you're in luck, because they redid it half a dozen times.

If Disturbed came on the radio I wouldn't change the station, although I didn't think anyone over 25 would describe them as "awesome" and after 'Vark's recent leg-pulling I'm semi convinced every new thread is just a bit.

This video makes fun of the band, and there is no argument against it. They only ever really did one song, and just did it over and over again for 20 years. It's true. So you either like that song, or you don't. I like the song.

My opinion is that Disturbed's If I Ever Lose My Faith In You is missing something. Like maybe it needed a musical Sting perhaps?

The poll needs a positive option less enthusiastic than "awesome".

The cover isn't great but its a nice change from the original Sting version which was part of an album that was literally my sleeping pill for years. Yeah, Ten Summers Dreams bored me to sleep by like the third song every time as if it was an audio version of Dune or Blade Runner.

Recently got into the band Disturbed. I like they're a somewhat recent heavy metal band where the lead singer hasn't quit or killed himsef yet. First heard about them with their "Sound Of Silence" cover which was ok but I prefer their original shit. Recently read they'll be doing a Sting cover which might be ok but still prefer original work. I like these guys because the lead singer seems good and they seem like a progressive hard rock band. The sci-fi element is reminiscent of Rush which I've loved. I love their videos, in fact their "Land of Confusion" video was better than the stupid puppet based Genesis video.

Who here likes Disturbed?
