Tonight! Sam Adams Oktoberfest! From freezer to firepit. I got em in a sixpack cooler, not unlike a lunchbox, for as to enjoy beside the crackling warmth of a backyard fire.

Case of mistaken identity here but who cares.
Well yeah of course I've bar fights in MOVIES lol
I've also been in a few fights but never in a bar.
Sam Adams Oktoberfest is pretty good. I'd say perhaps my 3rd favorite Oktoberfest.

This evening: Plum Margaritas. Juiced a bunch of plums, combined w/ fresh lime juice and a little premium margarita mix, ice, and Hornitos tequila then blend the fuck out of it in my Ninja blender. I was going to get Patron but couldn't bear the cost.

I skimmed that too quickly and thought you had blended Doritos into your drink and wasn't sure whether to gag or high-five you.

Did the margarita mix add anything? I assume plum and lime flavors would be a good balance by themselves.

Good questions. The wife wanted them blended and my 2 rules of thumb with frozen drinks are: lots of booze and lots of flavor, to counteract the ice. So the margarita mix served for some extra flavor. The plums weren't the sweetest so we needed a little extra sweet.

As a rule I dislike mixers, especially magurita mixers, they all have this artificial aftertaste. Just plain triple sec and lime juice for me.

Re: Where teh hell is the drunk base?
Tonight! Dog boubon, second tasting. To bring all the new fish (hah!) up to date, I'm aging my own booze in a Saint Bernard keg. This is where I review my results. They said because of the small size of the keg the booze would age five or six times as fast as a regular 40 + gallon barrel. They were right.
Very dark in color, its almost as dark as Meyers rum. Mmmph, strong too. Very woody finish, its got bark, you might say. That's a dog joke, son, pay attention. Its getting smoother yet somehow stronger, that might just be my second glass, though. I'll give it 7 out of 10, gonna let it sit another 6 months and check back

"I'm going to let the booze age in the barrel another six months," he said, woodenly.

Three Heads wins, mostly because it's brewed right on Atlantic Avenue in Rochester, NY. The Sam was winning until I switched from fireside bottle to inside pilsner glass. The malty num-numms went right up my nose after that. Whoever invented drinking straight from the bottle? Breast feeding excepted, of course. Must be in a glass for full enjoyment.

I wasn't going to say anything. I looked it up and it was when I bought my very first bottle of Glen Thunder moonshine.

Re: Where teh hell is the drunk base?
Dog booze round three. You can't let the inside of the barrels dry out or they will come apart and leak. Nobody wants that, least of all me. OK according to the instruction booklet, the first batch should be a bourbon and the second batch should be a scotch and the third batch should be a whiskey. Since it's hard to tell the difference between a domestic whiskey and one aged in Scotland (and to be fair to Pinback, the problem resides with my palate, not the different processes) I'm going to call this batch a scotch. Scotch-dog, or maybe scottie-dog? The last batch tasted more like bourbon, I guess. Maybe the wood esters or wood sprites are different here, who knows. Plus there was a little air in the keg, I think that made a difference. I'm not a master distiller or whatever they call themselves.
