June 1, 2018: 241.6

After a couple months of inexcusable misbehavior, we're back on track and just about back to where we were when the train left the track. Onward and upwa-- well, downward!

The past year and a half have seen some reversals, but we are once again back on the right track.

253.

We are now introducing a new feature, called "200 in 2020". This comes out to about a pound a week, which if I can maintain my current regimen, it will be TOO EASY to accomplish this goal.

The ULTIMATE goal is to once again fit into my Ted's of Beverly Hills bowling shirt, which hasn't fit in 15 years. But we'll get there.

I appreciate this reference.

The forum will send you an Avs hat when you hit 200 in 2020.

Ben, you should try excessive drinking, I lost 4 inches off my waist because I couldn't really eat much anymore.

Good luck, Ben -- you should definitely be able to do this. I suggest monthly thread updates in 2020 just so you'll stay motivated. Perhaps everyone previously banned from participating in this thread should be unbanned so they can cheer on your efforts. Of course, they should be rebanned forthwith if they don't cheer sufficiently or sincerely enough. I think a three pound weight loss month ought to be considered a success even if it doesn't quite meet the one pound per week threshold. After all, who is to say you won't lose five pounds in some future month? Plus, we have to account for the fact that everything goes to hell in February...it just doesn't have enough days.

Alright. It worked out perfectly. 52 pounds to go, 52 weeks to go. I can't do the math, but it sounds pretty straightforward.

When I first read this, I laughed heartily, I thought it was Flack, it seems his style. But he's only half right.

It's just that you only did half the solution. Yes, you need to drink excessively, Water. Just water. Not Bourbon and water. Not Scotch and water. Just plain water. Drinking lots of water will fill you up, enabling you to eat less, and still feel full. You want to try to consume at least a gallon of water a day. That's about twice the recommendation of eight glasses of water a day.

Further, I consider it the height of reckless irresponsibility to recommend to a known alcoholic that they drink more, especially when it is patently obvious that the drink is clearly alcoholic in nature. This is on the order of a man saying that he always stops at a bar and has a couple of stiff drinks before going to an AA meeting. As I have an associate port is an alcoholic, I am fairly familiar with the problem.

As for me, I'll take a tall glass with order of all kiddng on the side.

The only two people who have given me weight loss advice in the past five years total over 900 pounds between them.

That's because we have heavy experience in the matter! Besides, clearly we don'r weigh that much. As you said, the weight sits between us!

Hold it partner, I gave you advice (drink more) and I'm only about 215. I don't think Dr Tacos is still 675, right?

I believe Pinner was referring to a different dude that was here for a bit and is not here any longer. But not you, CO.

Don’t get fries. The dude who has the world record for most Big Macs eaten is in good health.. but he skips the fries.

That’s all I got.

In case you don't know what a Hoya Lift is, it's a combination of a plastic mat and a small electric crane (about as tall and wide and deep as a refrigerator, but mostly open space), in which the person who can't move is rolled onto it, then the mat is hooked to the crane, which then lifts the person above the bed. Typical uses are to change out a patient's bed, to move them in or out of a wheelchair, and to do a more complete change of linens or cleaning of a bed than can be done while the patient is in it.

When the lift has a scale integrated into it, it can weigh a person who can't stand on (or roll onto) a scale.

A short time ago - meaning sometime in December - I was weighed on the Hoya Lift, and it registered 271 pounds.

So, to quote The Bridgetender, "You are correct, si!"

Oh I'm sure nailing him to a cross - if he did exist - didn't take that much out of him.

As for me, that's true in more ways than one.
