"Crash diet".
You are all banned from this thread.
Do you notice how exactly zero people who offer advice on what you're doing wrong, weight-loss-wise, no matter how well it's working for you, ever ask for a single shred of information on what you're actually doing that's working?

Not a single shred of information!?!?
previously:
The only advice I've ever given you was to consult your physician, maybe other specialists should be added to that as well? It's great that your losing weight, it's just that the method you are using to achieve those goals is alarming.

Because you kept editing other people's posts! You banned yourself and I thought this was a good way around it.

Re: The Pinback Fat Thread
Don't feel discouraged if it doesn't give you good results every week or you slip and gain a little. Some weeks you might only have water loss or you make a mistake and eat something extra. A consistent, sustainable long-term loss not to exceed 1 lb/week is reasonable and safe. The weight went on a little at a time over years, don't expect it to come off fast.
I mean, even if you can keep an average loss of 1/2 pound a week until you get to your target weight you'll be doing a lot better than most of us. Like me, for example.

Billy, you realize that you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about when you tell a guy dumping 70 pounds that he is "doing it wrong," right?

Re: The Pinback Fat Thread
Continuing with my now successful streak [of one], let's see what else I can do.
Ben, the Nutrition Facts label is your friend. Note that it gives calorie counts per serving. One thought is to portion control meals to serving sizes. Another is to check the calorie counts of different products as a substitute.
For example, I said it before that I really recommend stevia, it is zero calorie and looks and tastes like sugar. Unlike the chemical ones there is no aftertaste. If you try using it in cereal, coffee, tea, you can make things as sweet as you want, and add zero calories.
Most of us don't realize how many calories we drink in until we look at the label. And try different diet drinks. I can't stand diet soda except Mr. Pibb diet tastes reasonable enough to use in place of Dr. Pepper.

Re: The Pinback Fat Thread
To recap, you are an enormously obese man who cannot walk, telling me, a man who has lost 70+ pounds over the past year, that I need to keep an eye on the calorie count of my foods, and watch my portion sizes.Tdarcos wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 9:53 amContinuing with my now successful streak [of one], let's see what else I can do.

I am going to bow out gracefully from the "doing it wrong" part of the conversation rather than debating it with you since I can sleep comfortably at night knowing that there is now a second person I can add to the "Billy Mays Told You So" thread in the future.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 8:35 amBilly, you realize that you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about when you tell a guy dumping 70 pounds that he is "doing it wrong," right?

Re: The Pinback Fat Thread
So you're saying he should have kept the weight on instead of just losing it. Right. That would have been better for him.
I mean, I just want you to admit that in this particular conversation you have no idea what you're talking about and unless he is chopping off limbs to get his weight down - which I don't suspect he is - the fact that the pounds are coming off at a reasonable rate trumps any sort of hogwash about "doing it correctly."
You should admit that. Nobody needs to bow out of anything.
I mean, it's just amazing that "better diet and more exercise over several months" is somehow making you think you're in "I told you so" territory. That's astounding. You agree that it's astounding to have the opinion you have, right?
