It kept its charge while I was at California Extreme. So I think it's charged just fine now.

Oh, that is good news!

As someone else previously mentioned, you can push start a bike fairly easily. Just get it rolling, hop on, make sure it's in 2nd, and pop the clutch. You really want to get it right the first time because after about the third time you will wish you were dead and will be too tired to push it fast enough to start it.

Ah, I caught some videos on that!

Here is a picture of my motorcycle.

Image

I haven't had a problem with the battery since I gave it that long charge. I drive it about 2 miles a night these days.

I got it up to 30 MPH for the first time tonight. It felt like I was going 100. So I sort of have a problem. I need to go at least 45 if I want to take it into work. (Not on the highway. I will not go on the highway with it in 2013. I'll use a backroad.) So I can't imagine how fast 45 will feel.

I am getting it properly registered tomorrow. I hate the DMV so we'll see how this goes.

Let's roll, and let's be careful out there!

Every one of those crashes is a result of aggressive driving. Notice how many of those are Russian dash-cams. Glad I don't ride like that. Speed kills.

That being said, my 19 year old nephew just picked up a Ninja 600. I seriously hope he takes the safety course and watches a lot of these videos.

I didn't see anybody in that video that didn't get what they deserved.

I like to think that the universe has enough courtesy not to hit both you and your brother with a bus on the same day. You got a free pass last night Jonsey, I hope you used it.

I see I answered lethargic's question twice.

I feel I provide extra value on this BBS, because any time one of you ask me something, I could answer it up to five different ways.

No real news to report - I love it, I drive it whenever I can.

I went on a highway for two miles over the weekend. It sucked! The highway was bumpy. Not smooth at all. I did go 55MPH for the first time, but even that is waaaaaaaaay too low to be on a highway at out here.

So I dunno.

If I take it into work and avoid a highway, I need to give myself 50 minutes for the worst-case scenario. Argh.

Wait. What now? I didn't know that you had ever driven a motorcycle and I did not know that you murdered puppies.

After my car and bike stranded me the other (work)day and I had to walk three miles to get a jump charger, I decided that it was time to get a new battery.

THe battery I bought said it was an exact fit for my bike. I guess it was, although the other one was smaller.

I was able to have lots of SPARKING FUN when hooking it up, because to attach the wires to the terminal I was dealing with a live circuit. Sparks sparks sparks.

(I miss my Qix.)
