This is the best The Don Rogers Show bit ever. Here you go, everyone.

I will note that Don literally says he won't post it. This. The best Don Rogers segment.

For now. Clearly he can't see when he has a breakout star in the making like myself, and chooses to instead criticize the man who has been carrying him the last month. The man who bleeds blood colored donrogers.

Don has the talent, you can hear it. Perhaps a few pointers?

Thirty minute episodes.
An hour is a long time to flap gums without hard topics.

Get a show partner with chemistry that you can feed off of.
Right now it's like one hand clapping. There's applause, but not very loud.

Fix these two small roadblocks and you have....

RADIO GOLD!

He had two partners and then changed the show's schedule to a time when neither of them could make it!

This whole episode, and this thread in particular, makes me angrier and angrier the more I think about it.

This man who is obviously just into it for his own self aggrandizement at this point which I didn't suspect, is telling me how much my Friday show bothered him.

The whole show I called it FUNDAY FUCKING FRIDAY, where we were just GOOFING AROUND and PLAYING SONGS and doing STUPID SHIT FOR FUN, in the meager hopes I could actually enjoy myself while doing this stupid project.

But he has to jump all over me for that and nitpick. That I took one day out of the week to try to enjoy myself.

Fuck him, fuck you, and fuck... well, whatever.

RIP Don Rogers.

You all killed him, not me.

You can be on the show. Are you around tomorrow? We'll be doing an all-comers show tomorrow.

Right. I'm not listening to anything where a guy just plays songs all day. Nobody plays songs I want to hear. Nobody. The pop punk station doesn't play enough pop punk, for Christ's sake.

Do you honestly think people are out there going, "Well, I don't like these songs, but this man playing them knows better. I will keep listening." It's the fallacy of disc jockeys in general.

The whole show I called it FUNDAY FUCKING FRIDAY, where we were just GOOFING AROUND and PLAYING SONGS and doing STUPID SHIT FOR FUN, in the meager hopes I could actually enjoy myself while doing this stupid project.
Sure. That you started a half hour late.

But he has to jump all over me for that and nitpick. That I took one day out of the week to try to enjoy myself.
OK. I was worried when you did the first show and pronounced it the greatest show ever. I was worried, because it was evidence that you have no ability to comprehend that your venture might need to be improved in some places.

I was right. You can't handle feedback.

Oh, Don Rogers is real good at taking feedback when it's positive in nature. Reaaaal good. Try to tell him what did or did not work and we get messages like this.

It's sad more than anything else, really.

Fuck him, fuck you, and fuck... well, whatever.

RIP Don Rogers.

You all killed him, not me.
LET him die.

self aggrandizement
That just kills me. I was going to walk away. But wow. Wow.

Just, wow.

All the stuff I have done trying to manage the fact that you absolutely fucking refuse to contact people to be on, the fact that you will not do a shred of research on your own for guests, the fact that I am out desperately trying to get people to come on a radio show that takes place when people are working..

I have Lex lined up for Thursday. The show is at 4:00 PM his time. You know what Don said?

"What am I gonna talk to Lex about?"

YES HE REALLY SAID THAT. Not, "Thank you for getting me a guest," not, "I appreciate your efforts bringing people in" -- nothing along those lines.

Just pre-suicidal whining.

But this is all for my own self aggrandizement. Right.

I dare you to reply to this message, Don Rogers, but I warn you: I will be playing Missile Command over it.

RobB, did you hear how his whole demeanor changed when he had you to play off of? A totally different show in the space of ten minutes.

Don, you need more interaction when you're on the air.
