Pig juice nightcap. Took the telescope out and looked at Saturn. Cool that you can see the rings. Also saw the moons of Jupiter. I'm so William Herschel right now. Waiting for the Perseids. Prolly fall asleep.

When I think of dedicated astronomers, I think of Clyde Tombaugh[*], who looked through thousands of (often blurry) photographs in order to discover the (now dwarf) planet Pluto. And he did this by hand, back in 1930.
————
[*] Yes, I did remember his name. I knew he did it back in the 1930s but had to look up the exact year.

This afternoon!
Er, I dunno if it has a name. Sailor Jerry, cranberry and a dash of unsweetened lime juice.
I'll call it: The Poop Deck, cause that's where I'm enjoying them. My boy brought his dog over one time last Thanksgiving and the dog dropped a load out there. Its been called the poop deck ever since.
Anyway, vacation is over, projects are finished and now it's relax time until the alarm clock goes reep reep reep tomorrow morning.

This specific one does not come up in a Google search but in general a drink of this type is cailled a rum cocktail.
Fair enough, now you have to publicize it so that becomes the standard name. I mean, if drinks can have silly names like Harvey Wallbanger and Sex on the Beach, how hard can it be to get this one known by this name?

None. I don't drink because - fortunately in my case - I can't stand the taste of alcohol. I say fortunately because alcoholism runs in my family. My mother might have been one and my sister admits she is an alcoholic. I know I have the potential for addiction problems.

It was a joke. I know you don't drink. Here is the grog recipe from The Secret of Monkey Island:
The drink seen in Monkey Island is as much a test of a pirates mettle as it is a refreshing drink. It is made of "a secret mixture that contains one or more of the following: Kerosene, Propylene Glycol, Artificial Sweeteners, Sulfuric Acid, Rum, Acetone, Battery Acid, red dye#2, SCUMM, Axle grease and/or pepperoni".

Let's see, most of these I know. Propylene glycol is antifreeze, tried it, it's sweet but I prefer Mtn. Dew. Sulfuric Acid will boil if it comes in contact with water and causes nasty skin burns. (Saw a series of videos on YouTube a year or so ago from a sulfuric acid manufacturer [Norfalco] about handling it and preventing injuries.) Acetone is nail polish remover. Battery acid is the same chemical as stomach acid, hydrochloric acid, the strongest acid in the world, so strong your stomach regrows its lining every 7 days. Don't know what SCUMM is if it's not the Lucasarts video game engine. Axle grease is actually useful in the case of skin burns (such as occur from being splashed by sulphuric acid.)Jizaboz wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 9:31 amIt was a joke. I know you don't drink. How can anyone hate pepperoni, unless they're a vegetarian or some shit. How is it possible.

I'm perfectly happy with any of ham, sausage, and steak. I just do not like pepperoni. Besides, you should know I'm not a vegetarian, I did a video on hamburger, I think I did one on pastrami on rye, I ate a sausage pizza in one video and might have done one on steaks.

The taste, the mouth feel, the look, the greasiness, the color, the smell and the taste. Oh, did I mention how I don't like the taste?

Eating pepperoni and drinking booze will make your leg grow back.
