Damn I messed up the joke. I meant to say I have some ocean-front property near Las Vegas for sale.

Another Paul Video!!!!!!

Magnificent!!!!!

The highest rating I am willing to ever give something is "If you don't love it then that's because you're an asshole." It is reserved for those things so objectively spectacular that any fault rests on the critic and not the creator. The part where Paul sang with the blue effect on choked me up and if you don't love this video then that's because you're an asshole:

I have a new video!

Sound of Silence, has nothing to do with the Simon and Garfinkel song, it's how I felt to finally get some quiet after days of... Well, listen to the video to find out.

Thank you for another great video! I especially enjoyed the bonus footage that you've been adding to the end of each video.

What genre of music was the one guy playing all the time?

I noticed the same thing with radio stations myself, and 30 songs may be a bit generous. If it is modern music then it is usually just some giant payola racket and you have the same dozen songs in a loop, but then you turn on classic rock and you'll get 80,000 Once In A Lifetimes for every Psycho Killer. It's maddening. Once In A Lifetime is a great song but mix it up with some of their other stuff.

Hot 99.5, "[Washington] DC's #1 Hit Music Station." FCC license record for WIHT which the station's website points to, says its license expired in October 2019, but it is still licensed. Probably license processing is temporarily suspended and all licenses are extended. The DMV here has done the same thing; if your license or tags expired after sometime in February, you can drive with that license or tags even though expired until a month after the pandemic ends. But October was before the epidemic even started and nothing happened here until at least January.

That sounds awful.

I've had this image in my mind of how you've been making moves to become some sort of crime boss at the nursing home and a group of residents and staff members went over to that other guy's room with bats and pipes to smash up his radio.

It would be no different than a guy running his crime syndicate from a prison cell. A guy who can't visit people sending others to do his dirty work. Only thing is, he'd probably be in some expensive place where he has every whim taken care of, or (more likely) is in his mansion tended by a staff of hired employees.

Unless he lives in a nursing home to make himself look like an ordinary guy...

Except Paul's book would have a lot more violent shower sex scenes than any prison novel.

These songs actually wouldn't be so bad if they weren't played over and over, like every 30 fucking minutes! Some of them had phrases that struck me and moved me. Here's what I heard over (and over, and over...) the lastfpur hours or so, some (many) of these were repeated. Over, and over, and over and over, and...

I captured a list by searching the lyrics. Most were actually okay, as long as they're not on repeat, constantly! I am not kidding when I say over the last four+ hours they only ran about 16 ssongs!

1. Here's one that surprised me, that I liked:
Justin Bieber, Intentions

"Picture-perfect, you don't need no filter
Gorgeous, make 'em drop dead, you a killer
Shower you with all my attention
Yeah, these are my only intentions."

I always had the idea that he was a no-talent hack who was just hyped. He really can sing. It's a nice song. As long as I don't have to hear it repeated every 20 minutes!

2. Dua Lipa, Break My Heart

"I would have stayed at home
'Cause I was doing better alone.
But when you said 'Hello'
I knew that was the end of it all."

Then they do an 'answer' song to themselves:
3. Dua Lipa, Don't Start Now

"If you don't wanna see me dancing with somebody
If you wanna believe that anything could stop me
Don't show up, don't come out
Don't start caring about me now
Walk away, you know how
Don't start caring about me now."

4. Ed Sheeran, feat. Khalid, Beautiful People

"That's not who we are
(We are, we are, we are)
We are not beautiful
Yeah that's not who we are
(We are, we are, we are)
We are not beautiful."

5. Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved

"Now, I need somebody to know
Somebody to heal
Somebody to have
Just to know how it feels"

6.Lewis Capaldi, Before You Go

"So, before you go
Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?
If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather."

7. Harry Styles, Adore You

"Oh, honey (Ah-ah-ah)
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do."

8. Trevor Daniel, Falling

"If you treat me right, baby, I'll give you everything
My last made me feel like I would never try again
But when I saw you, I felt something I never felt
Come closer, I'll give you all my love."

9. The Weeknd, Blinding Lights

"I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch
I said, ooh, I'm drowning in the night
Oh, when I'm like this, you're the one I trust."

10. Doja Cat, Say So

"Day to night to morning, keep with me in the moment
I'd let you had I known it, why don't you say so?
Didn't even notice, no punches left to roll with
You got to keep me focused, you want it, say so."

11. Rihanna, Only Girl (In The World)

"Want you to make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world
Like I'm the only one that you'll ever love."

12. Post Malone, Circles

"Run away, but we're running in circles
Run away, run away
I dare you to do something
I'm waiting on you again."

13. Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber, I Don’t Care

"'Cause I don't care when I'm with my baby, yeah
All the bad things disappear."

14. One they were running a lot before but did not run today.
Harry Styles (Again), Watermellon Sugar

That's about almost the entire lineup, there was maybe 2-4 at most that I didn't catch because I couldn't get enough words to look it up, or, surprisingly enough, the occasional new song.

Found another one that station runs, only this one is edited:

15. BENEE, Supalonely

This video plays the unedited version, not the radio version, as the first line makes clear:
"I know I fucked up, I'm just a loser"
Which the radio edit plays as
"I know I f'ed up, I'm just a loser"
And another line which isn't prohibited
"Lonely (I'm a lonely bitch)" as
"Lonely (I'm a lonely chick)"
Bu I guess nobody now would play Sir Elton John's The Bitch is back, or Meredith Brooks Bitch, both having gotten lots of airtime.

No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch."

Paul is constructing, at my request, the song loop that is played at his nursing home. He went over it in his last video.

I said it seemed like this station (Hot 99.5) that my roommate was playing on his radio a few days ago played the same songs over, and over, and over. So I thought, am I exaggerating and I'm being ridiculous? He stopped listening to it, so I listened to that station on the Internet and captured the lyrics from each song they regularly played, during this morning.

I wanted to see just how many different songs they actually played, and guess what? It was actually more repetitious than I had said, there are less than 20 unique songs being played on that radio station all day and all night! 24/7 all that they have is what I posted here except for one I can't nail down, I haven't heard it often enough to do a search by lyrics to find it. That, and an occasional new song that sneaks in. The music links are here so I can confirm it is the same one, except for two of them. (1) I mentioned, Supalonely, which is radio edited, and (2) Harry Styles, Adore You seems to sound slightly different on the radio.

I just wanted to show to myself as well that they really were repeating the same songs.
