Just say never.

Look, if can post pictures of my meat the least you could do is post a picture of the whiskey bottle you're reviewing.

Except I don't post pictures or videos online, I never have and I never will. You on the other hand always post pictures so it's not that big of a deal to you. I would have to sign up for some sort of program to share pictures and upload videos, learn how to frame shots and create interesting scenes, and for what? So you can see stock standard bottles of whiskey you can find at any liquor store in the country? It's just not something I do, but I would do if you sent something nice to Tdarcos because that would make me happy.

If you want, I could start adding generic pictures of what I'm drinking from google? That I wouldn't mind doing.

If I may break character for a moment... the reason they want you to post pictures of the bottles you're reviewing is because nobody here really believes you went from not being a drinker to purchasing hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of alcohol. Posting stock photos from the internet doesn't prove otherwise.

Carry on.

The offer is also open to you if you're interested: just send Tdarcos something nice and have him comment here on how he likes the nice thing you sent him and I will post three bottles of your choice.

Sorry, no. You have mistaken my attempt to explain what's going on with any desire to change the outcome.

Anyhoo, back to the kayfabe.

So I've been called a liar under the burden of being inconvenienced. To which my one simple request is that one of you guys purchase some nice little gift for one of your friends (specifically Tdarcos), so that I can share in his happiness, and in return I will jump through your hoops within reason and even that isn't good enough.

Whatever you believe or don't believe is going on here, this is a sad day for Jolt Country.

No, I just feel the arrangement would work out for everyone involved.

So I opened up my 1.75 liter bottle of Wild Turkey 101 and saw this little plastic gizmo lodged in the neck that I was familiar with seeing before at bars and such but never actually knew what it was for, I suspected it had something to do with facilitating pouring but I looked it up just to be sure. What I discovered is that it facilitates pouring and what I just discovered is that it does a really good job at it much to my relief. I know it does a really good job because I had also previously purchased a 1.75 liter bottle of Buffalo Trace on reputation alone and while the juice inside is A1 it is a bit of a nightmare pouring it as they went with the cork and no plastic gizmo in the neck.

The first thing I do with any bottle is pry that fucking thing out.

So I got a french scotch and... it's really nice! BUT The frog-eating FUCKERS put a real cork in the bottle, then sealed it with about a pound of really shattery wax. in any other situation, hat leads to a flat-topped plastic bit hold a bit of cork in so that where I started chipping. After about 3 minutes it turns out NO, this is an ACTUAL wine bottle with an ACTUAL wine cork. Using a corkscrew to pull it I was now left with an entire bottle of scotch with no way to close it. Genius, this is exactly why you had to sell Louisiana. Completely by accident, I happened to have a 750ml bottle with one of those Grolsch resealable plastic tops that I was able to decant it in to because not even I will open a bottle of scotch and finish it in the same night.

I wasn't paying attention, but NEVER buy anything with a wax seal, it isn't worth the hassle.

A helpful tip is to save all of your corks after finishing the bottle, the synthetic corks are especially invaluable, since a cork failure is bound to happen eventually.

Aardvark.. if that's a 2-burner Char-broil propane grill.. I think we have the same grill!

I bought mine last weekend. Damn thing took FOREVER to put together but I like it.

If not.. never mind.

Plus you can make a lovely cork note board!
