Please, this thread is about recognizing two of this board's most valuable posters, you do not need to make it about yourself.

Sometimes it's not the advice you want, but the advice you get. Best of.

It does make you wonder who would have won it in various years. I wish I had kept track of such things in the dial-up days going forward. I had considered doing it for Caltrops as well, but so many people left it was just going to be Rafiki and Whorebach every year.

Billy, I do not support these people slinging cruelty your way. You keep being you. You are the only person who actually listened to advice in this community and adjusted and you are an MVP in my book for it.

So, are you nominating him for 2018? :)

I bet he wraps that tingler around his dingler when he plans on reading Ben's posts.

So far I generally have found Ben's postings lately to be condescending, mean-spirited, cruel and/or sarcastic. Understanding that (as it is claimed) he is in constant pain is understandable but that doesn't lessen the vitriol that drools off his postings. It reminds me of Jerry Lewis' interview by Larry King on CNN some years ago, how the doctors finally found a new regimen of drugs to allow him to be pain-free for the first time in almost forty years! He was actually pleasant and nice.

If Ben finds some way to alleviate his pain he might become nicer and less nasty, but until then I'd choose Aardvark, Billy Mays or Flack among the posters here who (excluding yours truly) who have been funniest, most interesting or most poignant.

Tdarcos, if Pinback continues to post things you find unacceptable, I suggest using the "report post" feature on the new forum software.

Yes, then Flack decided that now is in fact a good time for him to claim the title so that is what happened. Nobody here puts in as much work crafting excellent posts as that man and even me as the Arbiter has no right to withhold from him what is rightfully his.

The good news for you is that I do have something in the works for December...but let us discuss that in the appropriate thread.
