Daffynitions and puzzles

Irony - What happens when you knock the iron off the ironing board and it hits your knee.
Agony - what you feel after irony.
appalled - what I feel when I have agony

A rebus is a word puzzle expressed using word similes or pictures. The most famous use of rebus puzzles was in the TV and board game Concentration.

Here's an example ( hyphens "-" are used to separate items and are not part of the puzzle):
----------------------------
THE BRIDGE

AN
LOOK
--------------------------
What is the meaning of the above puzzle? Scroll down.

"An overlook under the bridge."
or "The bridge over an overlook."

Try the following:

-I--------te u nd--to-----World
Stand-------------throw--the

Second Puzzle:

I have
looked something
"Come my restoration… Wash my body clean."

Let me take a stab at it!

The solution to the second puzzle is:

Look, I have something in my undies.

The second one is "looked something under, I have." At least according to Yoda, it is.

Try again. You need to add one or more words to make it into a gramatically correct sentence. Just look at it, I would think it would be easy or obvious.

Try this one:

The Boss Has me working
time
"Come my restoration… Wash my body clean."

This is not a rebus; it doesn't form a word group, if it was a picture it should have actual images, not punctuation.

No it wasn't. I call foul bullshit. If the above symbols can actually be derived to produce that answer so that it really is, show how what was posted produces that answer.

Well, here are the answers, then:

Try the following:

-I--------te u nd--to-----World
Stand-------------throw--the

"I understand u in tend to overthrow the underworld."

Second Puzzle:

I have
looked something

"I have overlooked something."

Try this one:

The Boss Has me working
time

"The boss has me working overtime."

Here's another

Manned ---- and
We are ----- worked

"We are undermanned and overworked."
"Come my restoration… Wash my body clean."

The way you have this written, why isn't it "I overstand", not "I understand"?

Is it possible you got this wrong?

Because "overstand" isn't a word. "I understand" is valid; "I overstand" isn't.

I'm sorry, I apologize. You're right. I should have had it as "stand
I"

The way I posted it, it was "I over stand" not "I under stand" and I made a mistake, then compounded the mistake by re-reading it wrong. Again, I was wrong and I apologize for my mistake.

I'll just chalk it off to being miserable over being in a manual wheelchair and having regular pain in my right knee sometimes becoming levels causing screaming agony.
