Let's begin anew.
I can't. At this point I am waiting a decision from Jonsey in the oil thread whether I am allowed to accept what you say at face value or presume you're a lying sack of shit. I suggest you lobby him to agree to allow me to accept what you say at face value even if I think otherwise.

Yes, sometimes I know you're kidding, but the question is, should I be allowed to treat what you say seriously when you claim you are?

"Are you sure about what you're saying? Have you read what Wikipedia said about the song? I think if you look there you'll find out loafergirl was correct. Go check and see."

(If you disagree using Wikipedia you can use some other reference. Or you could cut in a quote.)

By asking the person to check their premises as opposed to flatly slamming them - especially in this case where, Wikipedia has it in black and white that I'm dead wrong - yougive the person the opportunity to come back and admit they're wrong.

And what happens? You get your point across, the other person learns they were mistaken, and "you leave a good taste" behind. No bitterness.
Fair enough, but no admission has yet to take place, and it does not require his actions for you to do that.

What were you saying about deflection?

To quote Ray Liota in Goodfellas, "Get the fuck outa here!"

Does "I only drive 200 miles" and "oil is a lubricant" bring back reminders?

(French accent) Now go or I shall be forced to taunt you again!

Or how about, what you currently have is the status you need, but not the one you wanted.

Hey, you either live long enough to become the hero, or...

And there's always room to add more unimportant wannabes to the "Tdarcos outlived" page.

Oh wait, I think I have the hero one backward.
