The greatest moment of my life.

Post by Ben »

I hate Adelphia. I hate Adelphia because they refuse to carry The Golf Channel where I live, even though everyone else within a 1000-mile radius has it.

But I LIKE the internet. I like the internet because even though Adelphia sucks, I can still log on to www.thegolfchannel.com and watch GolfCentral ("It's Like SportsCenter, But Just With Golf!") whenever I want.

Well, today (like I had to tell you) was the first day of the Women's U.S. Open.

Now, I'm all about the PGA, and I don't really care all that much about the ladies tour, except that Annika Sorenstam, over the past couple years, has been a consistently more dominant player in her game than Tiger is in his. (Unfortunately for Annika, she is not God, whereas Tiger, needless to say, is.) So, I wanna see how Annika's doing.

So I log into the website and fire up the daily news. Nothing much going on, Annika three back at even par, etc, etc. Then they show some of the "notable scores". One of the notable scores was from an amateur, who had shot +5. (Not a horrible score at a U.S. Open, especially for an amateur.)

But then I got a look at her name. More precisely, I got a look at her first initial and her last name.

And this, friends, was the greatest moment of my life.

Her name?

"V. Nirapathpongporn."

Kinda sums up my whole life, doesn't it?
