Okay, now what constitutes "control"?

Re: Superbowl commercials
After messing with the definition of a catch, referees and the league have set out to "protect" quarterbacks by making them almost as untouchable as kickers. Starting this season, the league has begun strictly enforcing a 20+ year old rule that states defenders are not allowed to land on quarterbacks with "most or all of their body weight." The result? From ESPN:
In Monday night's game between the Steelers and Tampa Bay, there were four "roughing the passer" calls, which tied a game in 2001 as the most such calls in a single game.Through three weeks, there have been 34 roughing the passer calls. Through three games last year, there had been 16, and through three games in 2016, there were 20.

See, now if there were enforcers in the NFL there would be a lot less of this kind of shenanigans.

It's fucking unwatchable if they keep doing this. And guess what, the 49ers' quarterbacl tore a ligament and is gone for the year anyway. IF ONLY THEY WERE PROTECTED FROM MOVING!

In Cyberball if you didn't protect the QB, guess what, he FUCKIN' EXPLODED.
If your QB explodes, THAT'S ON YOU, don't go crying to the robot ref.

I refuse to believe you voted for Trump and dislike contact sports.

You may think that this is just another one of my bits going predictably wrong but in actuality it is the most truthful I have ever been with this group. Water slides are the best thing life has to offer and your viable window for enjoying them is closing with the passing of every NFL season. Don't look back on these years wishing you had taken my advice, take you family and start hitting up water parks.

Water slides are better than roller coasters in exactly zero ways.

Respectfully disagree, though I would have no qualms with ICJ opting to because a coaster enthusiast instead.

Re: Superbowl commercials
Sorry man but Billy Mays is right. Waterslides are one of the most wonderful things in the world. If I was stupid rich I'd have one in my backyard way before a roller coaster.
I like all types of slides but one of my favorites has always been the old style made out of concrete that wind down a hill which are becoming more and more rare.

Re: Superbowl commercials
How is that possible. Sell me on the superiority of a waterslide over an artistically-designed, well-built coaster.

You're more likely to shit yourself laughing at someone else taking one of those dives while you wait in line than experiencing one yourself, water slides win again.

Re: Superbowl commercials
Two of those accidents are the slider's fault entirely: how's it possible to be such an idiot as to slide down into an empty pool or not notice bars across the slide.
I was shocked to learn that those things aren't really regulated very well, not even in the US which is the global king of regulating how we build stuff. They arrested the designer of one of the slides that recently killed a kid but why the hell didn't someone catch the problem ahead of time. I mean, you have to have a building inspector check off on whether the garage you're building in your yard fits code but how is it there's not strict regulation on these things? If anything deserves a strict building code enforced by engineers who know what they're doing, it's these dangerous monstrosities.

Not government regulated, water slides win again.
