Ebay Fun

Post by Knuckles the CLown »

I normally don't sell much crap on-line. I hate mailing shit. I have a free truck I use to scrap metal when I need some extra cash.

Anyhow I put my PS3 plus one game up for bid on Ebay.

Some jerkoff from New Jersey won, $125 bucks. Shortly thereafter I get a message from him.

"I apologize about this , after being on eBay as a seller and a buyer this is the first time I had to ask a person something like this. My nephew has been begging me to buy him a PS3 , I told him yea but not right now and he can continue to use mine, he has done this in the past with lower value items but never with an item over $20.00. I had no idea he placed multiple bids on PS3 systems & won 2 auctions and is the highest bidder on an auction that is ending in less then 1 hour , so I can't retract bid. I know this is VERY frustrating , it has happen to many of times and really ticked me off because most people have no idea the time we put into listing an item. I honestly can not afford to buy 3 PS3 systems let alone 1 right now which was the reason I told him in a few weeks. I feel really bad about this and if I was able to swing it this week I would just pay for it like I have done 50+ times in the past , I know I can always re-sell it & get my $ back.

- skyedealz"

So yeah, first time I sell something in years I get this idiot.

Im going to break this up into multiple posts. This guy doesn't use paragraphs so trying to give everyone's eyes a break.

First response by me

"Dear skyedealz,

Yeah lamest thing I ever heard. It doesn't even make a bit of sense. You have till noon to pay for the item or I'm opening a case."

and his response

"Save u the time open it now tells me I have to noon to pay lol big guy over the net"

I don't know what time we were saving. But I'm being accused of being an internet tough guy.

so my response

"Dear skyedealz,

Big guy over the net? You are broke and pretending your nephew hacks your Ebay account? You had 3 days to pull the bid. "

Well apparently my strong arm tactics worked

"Paid via Pay Pal 4/3/15" he sends me.

But I don't trust the idiot, so now the fun starts.

my response

"Dear skyedealz,

Will be shipped by 3:30 PM today. Verified payment with Ebay, and pay pal and have case and reference numbers in case of any issues. Thank you."

"I'm not gonna go back n forth with u and nobody hacked my acct. re-read the message. If you want to talk like to adults feel free to call me 646-460-4082 . I was straight up with you and you call me out ? Tell me I'm a lier. Call me "

He sends this out of the blue.

Then after reading how I told him I contacted paypal and Ebay to make sure he doesn't scam me. I get this

"
Dear mksh25,

No meed for that we got off on wrong foot , I simply inquired you if I could get out of it. We are strangers , with that being said you had no idea how much $ I laid out this past week , which doesn't apply to you , we all have our rough moments , just a bad week. But I did the rite thing, as long as it works and looks like it does in ur pics I'll leave u a good feedback. As u can see I'm a calm east going person after u accused me of a lame story , more or less a lier and still notified PP & eby . If all is good I'll leave u positive , I can understand ur frustrations , but no need to go on with letting PP & EBY . As u can see I'm a calm person ."

So whatever, I still don't like this guy so I respond

"Dear skyedealz,

I don't care what you leave for feed back. If you bid, you win, you pay, It's a really simple site. Since you are being shady and can't spell I needed to notify ebay and paypal. This way you can't try and log a complaint with paypal and screw me over.

Use paragraphs. Spell check and use the internet like an adult. If your nephew is somehow bidding on 100 things a week without your knowledge you have serious problems.
"

His response

"Your pretty funny , and still never called. It was an accident and I didn't bid but if someone came to me explaining what happen, I would say no problem. Some people you can work with and some (LIKE YOU), you can't. A person who runs their mouth like you then hides beyond eBay's & Pay Pal's skirt tell me a lot about you. & for the spelling I'm typing on a phone that keys are very small. You should watch who you mouth off to these these Days. The fact that u enforced eBay doesn't look good on your part"

so he really wants to talk

"Dear skyedealz,

Dude why you want to talk so bad? It's creepy."

and the response

"I'm not I just can't stand your kind. Have something to say ? Man up and talk if not stop harassing me . Your either a boy , girl , or grown man who likes to mouth off online. That's not me. Have something to say let's talk if not go back in your hole you puppet "

and me

"Dear skyedealz,

My kind? The kind that sell stuff on ebay then get pissed when people try to weasel out of paying for it? That kind?"

and this psycho

"Dear mksh25,

If I wanted to weasel out and not pay , you would have not been paid bottom line. I ask u not to message me but you still do . I say call me & u don't tells me a lot about you. Probably one of those 40 year old gamers . I told you before your harassing me . I find it funny as soon as I hang up with eBay you message me . Makes one think catch my drift "

I assume this story ends with him receiving the PS3, saying it wasn't in the condition listed in the auction, him filing a claim, and getting a refund?

Flack knows. Flack knows!

Knuckles said he got an email from the guy where he was complaining that there were "stickers on the box" or something. I think his desperate tactic is going to be to claim that the price tag or Gamestop put there.

I have encouraged my brother to move the Paypal money ASAP. They did lie to him and say the money was immediately available on the phone. (I have no idea how he got to speak to someone at eBay, but I am proud of him.)

I will be texting this guy in the middle of the night for 10 years if he tries to screw my brother out of money. More, I will create an automated system to do that too.

I shipped the item in the original box. So I had to put priority mail stickers on it. He freaked out. But I already have ebay examining the messages and his bidding practice (bidding on 3 and winning them and trying to get of paying for two).

Ebay is a bunch of fuckstains though. So we will find out on the 9th if I get my money.

My favorite eBay transaction involved a lady who said I "ruined her kid's birthday" because I shipped two Gameboy games to her a day or two later than I was supposed to.

This happened in 2010. The original Gameboy came out in 1989. If the highlight of this kid's birthday was two original Gameboy games, one of which was Tennis, I'm pretty sure his birthday was ruined long before my games got there.

By the way, that particular e-mail volley ended when I Googled her name and found out where she worked. When I mentioned that, it ended. Maybe your buyer works as a bouncer at the eBay school of bad-assery?

I had one where I bought a ventriloquist doll off eBay for use in Cyberganked. When finished I thought I'd sell it on eBay. I did! I did sell it on eBay for something like fifteen bucks less than I bought it for.

I said multiple times in the ad that the doll was AS-IS. The last thing I wanted was to deal with a seller that regretted the purchase or other drama.

A couple weeks after selling it, I got some mail. Real, physical mail. It was from some kid's grandmother. Apparently she bought the ventriloquist doll for her grandson's birthday. (Or Christmas, I can't remember which it was.) She was aghast at the condition of this thing. Remember, everything you buy on eBay is brand new and comes with tags and if they don't you should still expect that.

She tells me that the ventriloquist doll isn't completely working and that it was covered in cat hair. Okay, guilty on the last one but the thing was maybe one foot tall. It wasn't the kind of ventriloquist doll that you'd see a comedian use on TV. I had no idea if pulling the string made the jaw do anything.

I told this idiot that if I got the thing back I would give them a refund for the sale price but not the shipping charges. I think. God, I hope that is what I said. They did send it back and I gave a refund. (And I put it on eBay again and this time Flack bought it. The ONLY reason that, years later, I think the transaction is complete is because Flack is a friend.)

I really got soured on eBay for a while. Jesus fuck, when I describe and send something out I never want to see it again. The fucking entitlement on bidders is out of control. But it's been that way forever. "America's Garage Sale" somehow became to these morons a new Amazon.com.

When I got it it was still covered in cat hair and now had blood on its butthole.

The best part though is that now I get to look at this all day while I work.

and it STILL continues

"I contacted you last on 4/7/15 which you blew off. Do the right thing and make this right , any other buyer would have just opened a request to return which goes against your account. But I'm trying to work with you . The listing didn't say " I will be shipping the item in it's original box with scotch tape and shipping stickers and no where did you disclose like your suppose to. I have been very fair about this but I'm not going to get ignored. This is 2nd attempt, I don't want to go to eBay but if I have to then that's my only option "

Apparently he found child porn on the browser now.

"We have a much lager issue on hand, as I have been informed by sister that there was some really sick adult content in the PS3 browser that I really do not want to get into or say what the boy saw due to it being so disgusting and disturbing. I didn't go into the browser I only watched a movie. This is a serious matter when involving a child and adult content, is not taking lightly by any authority. 90% of individuals who play these games and systems are children or teenagers I do not know any adults that engage in gaming. This has been by far the worse buying experience I ever had on eBay , in fact it's the only problem I ever had. And as far as me making threats , I think you should look on eBay polices for the meaning of a in direct threat and I never tried to conduct business outside of eBay. Did I tell you to call me ? Yes I did so what I had paid for the item already. In the world of doing business people do speak on the phone , you should get your facts straight. "

HAH! I did NOT see the "browser history" angle coming!

I assume he's genuinely upset about the original box having stickers on it, as the guy runs a videogame store on eBay and was probably looking to flip it.

I'd be a little ticked about the stickers on the box thing if the box was shown in the ad without the stickers and crap. No where near this though.

"I do not know any adults that engage in gaming" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Also, what kind of pr0n was it?

I didnt think the stickers mattered since it was for his nephew. There was no porn on the PS3 I look at porn on my CPU not my gaming systems. Also I never hooked the PS3 up to the internet other for a brief MLB the Show update. Bought it brand new and never used the browser.

He is insinuating child porn. I love the part where he says "sister found" not "my" sister, but just sister.

Ah okay, so sister looked for pr0n on the PS3 web browser, found it.. and this is your fault. Naturally.
