Let's talk vitamins

Two weeks ago, tired of working so much and feeling run down, I walked over to a Walgreens and bought a giant jar of gummy vitamins. The vitamins look like this and proudly pronounce that they are for MEN.

I bought them anyway.

I have been taking two a day without fail.

Today I got a haircut. New barber cutting my hair and I thought, man, she didn't cut it as short as the others because it grew so quickly. WHY CANT ANYONE DO THEIR J-- So I sit down for the haircut and she says, "It really grew fast! This was four weeks?" I said yes and then she asked me if I had started taking vitamins. Dun dun dunnnn!

Anyway, I guess vitamins make your hair grow quickly. Actually having all my levels set correctly means I'm a werewolf, I guess.

Certain deficiencies will cause some things not to work. For example, I used to get leg cramps. I have two choices. Potasssium supplements or eat one or more bananas* a day. At 44c a pound I think the bananas are cheaper (and I'm sure they taste better.)

Anything your body manufactures requires resources. Your body gets those resources exclusively from what you consume (except vitamin D which you can also get from sun exposure if you're outside much.)

-----
* The filter on this bbs only marks the singular of bananas with the color indicator, not plural so I changed this from "one" to "one or more"

Is there a fruit shortage over there?

Again, I have to agree with RealNC on this one. At your age you should be relying on fresh fruits and vegetables for your dietary needs. The pills are designed for elderly people who have a weaker digestive system, they are just quickly passing through your system and providing you mainly with a placebo effect. Also, juices aren't the best thing in the world either, the amazing feeling you get from drinking them is not because of how healthy they are but from the hypoglycemic rush while most of the beneficial aspects of the fruit are passed as waste as your body tries to stabilize itself.

I really hope somebody uses their primary nomination on RealNC soon because it would be a bit of an insult if I or somebody else had to settle on giving him a contingent nomination.

Yeah, Robb, why don't you eat a fruit?

What a bunch of fucking douches. NC doesn't have a nomination for the same reason you don't, Billy. You are terribly annoying people who somehow I've somehow failed to run off.

I do like that the alternative to taking a vitamin the size of a marble that has 100% of all the vitamins and nutrients I need for a day is to eat a banana, which is much larger and has potassium and that's about it. That was outstanding. When a woman comes in here telling us that her husband beats her, the suggestion you guys have is to remove one of the two handles from the rolling pin.

Are the vitamins working for you? That's the bottom line here. By the way, did the oo-topos memory drugs help out?

The bigger picture here is about creating a healthy diet for yourself. People like to cram shitty foods and sugary drinks into their bodies 24/7 and then complain about why they feel like shit.

Why would your first assumption be that it was the barber's fault and not your own? Barbers present the job they've done and wait for approval before removing the cape and requesting payment.

My suggestion would be that she contact her local authorities and follow their instructions.

Well, since we can't guest post anymore I guess we'll never know what Jack Straw's ghost says about this.

I used to take generic "1 a day" multi-vitamins but they would always expire before I finished even half a bottle because I'd keep forgetting to eat them.
