Browser add-ons

Post by AArdvark »

I find it amusing that back in the day we were all excited to have live video and content delivered right to our desktops*. And now there are browser add-ons to block that annoying crap. I keep having to go into text only mode in order to read any articles without that distracting garbage (and paragraph** ads!) in my browser. We truly did have it better in the Eighties. At least in some ways.

*One of the features of Windows 98 is active desktop, which allowed live updates and other Internet content right to your desktop.

Can't use anything else than Chrome, at least on Linux. My favorite porn sites are still using Flash, and only Chrome supports it.
