Don Rogers in the Afternoon

Post by pinback » Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:48 pm

I need my mic to be louder in the mix.

The delay thing was a problem.

The levels were all messed up.

Audicity can export mp3 files right out of the box, though, so no additional downloads were necessary.

Once I fix the delay issue, which I dunno how to, and fix the levels, we should be good to go.

Is this a Jolt Country or Pinback podcast? I'll schedule this if you want forum personalities around to re-enact best of threads, random gibberish about \ \ \, SC2, or thoughts on why Mechwarrior is perhaps the ultimate war game.

The original question; is this a Jolt Country or Pinback podcast?

It's Don Rogers in the Afternoon. Though once I get everything set up, people can Skype in and let hilarity ensue.

When you did that crying baby example, I was thinking the answer was to shoot it. Then you did the gunfire, and I thought that was perfect.

Chandra Meloni: Are you kidding? My producer is the cheapest son-of-a-bitch in town, he'd book anyone if they'd be interesting and we'd get them for free.
Paul Robinson: Well, thank you anyway, Chandra.
Chandra Meloni: Up next, Morgan Chadwick with a special on what to do when your ex- is stalking you, after this ad for an alternate solution provider, Zenith Guns and Ammo.

TV Tropes on Hilarity Ensues.

I'm not sure why my webcam doesn't work, though. I don't know if I installed the software for it or not, and potentially finding the install disk is a hit-or-miss proposition, maybe I'll just go buy another one, they're only around $10 or so.

The kite on the other end of your podcast mentioned SoundForge, it was a professional audio processing program probably similar to what Audacity has now. It wasn't very expensive either, I think it was around $29.95, but now that Audacity is out any audio processing program has to be a lot better to be worth paying for.

Jewish Guy: Listen, the word is 'kike', not 'kite'. Did you even realize that you're too stupid to even be a good bigot?

I just signed up for Google Drive. You get 5 gigs of storage for free and you can set up a publicly shared folder if you want and distribute the link.

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1ZAf8 ... VFpQWUzZWc

I'm testing it out tonight by uploading every episode of my podcast and a 1.2 gig movie to boot.

Boom, instant podcast hosting.

If you want to test something out for me, open up the Fatty Lumpkin video and jump to minute 12.

I was able to be on the program for a few minutes before Ben took another call and ditched me for a better offer of cleaning up poop out of the carpet.

I did learn that "Don Rogers" is a pseudonym, made up of a conglomeration of two of Ben's heroes ... Don Ho and Mr. Rogers.

Here's Robo's try at the show. I'm sure we'll both do better next time.

More tests with Robb. This doesn't count. This is just testing.

I think I need a new microphone. Oh, and I hope that you get the pictures for your wedding before I see you, because I'm going to belabour your fucking Jew nose for playing the Peter Griffin laugh at me.

How many people can you have connected at a time?

What kind of mic and mixing board are you getting?

I did appreciate, listening to it after the fact, that you attempted to end a 7:26 show four times.

Also, in my defense, my show had a lot of great material that got cut.

Also, I have to remember to keep my stories shorter and on track. Two or three of my stories were too long. The cat story was too long.

Also, after hearing the recording, it sounds completely opposite. When I called in, I sounded great and you sounded far away. Then when I hear the recording, it's the opposite. Which makes sense.

Also I think the slight delay leads to a lot of interrupting. And after listening back to my own show, I hear that I missed a LOT of your comments.

Also, I think 6:20 is too early in a show to go with a incest/pedophile joke.
