Bonus Sunday Funday Poll!

You have to choose one. Don't bother complaining about "well, it depends on your definition of..." or anything like that. PICK ONE. Let's solve this once and for all.

Do we need to explain or can we just vote and move on?

There ought to be an "It's complicated" option because recent developments in quantum theory reveal, at least mathematically, that outcomes can change after observation if something changes about their entangled observers.

If you're somehow saying that the Wegmans corporate history is in some way, shape, or form related to the fundamental nature of the universe, you're more mentally disabled than I previously thought.

No, that is what you are somehow saying, here is the exact quote and when you said it to be specific:

This is also something you are somehow saying for some reason.

Can there be a drama and horseshit option for tree falls in the woods?

Oh, as for the question, the answer is obviously yes, but not for the reason you might think. I've actually done some thinking about this.

It "costs" the universe nothing to have sounds happen. And the "no one" is subjective; are there no animals that the sound of the tree falling might warn to get out of the way? Does the universe "know" when "no one" is around so it can conserve sound? And does "no one'" exclude tape or video reorders? How does the universe now when there is "someone" there and when they aren't? Does it know about unattended recording devices or web cams so the sound occurs on them?

Further, preventing the sound would be ridiculously "expensive" for an unattended universe to make things act differently regardless of whether a person is there. Either you have some entity monitoring things or thinmgs always happen the same.

Also, the earth has been here for 4 billion years, and had beautiful sunsets for the life that has been here for the last 3.4975 billion years before the last 250,000-150,000 years homo sapiens has existed, that nobody ever got to see. I'm sure sound didn't just suddenly "come into being" simply because people were around to notice it.
