Prediction!

I see Paul has replied to my Nonduality Books thread. I have not clicked on it yet.

I am predicting right here that it is a terrible, likely thread-ruining reply full of proclamations of how everything is wrong and I haven't backed up any assertions and all that nonsense.

If I am wrong, I will come back here and apologize personally and profusely to Mr. Darcos.

Let's click on it!

Well, it was shorter than I expected, but still contained what I'd consider "proclamations of how everything is wrong and I haven't backed up any assertions and all that nonsense."

So, Paul, you get a D plus on this one. Not an F, though! Passing grade!

You're definitely on the upswing!

I had a prediction you would get it wrong and you did. You never read my message.
Tansin A. Darcos wrote:The real question is, do any of these match reality? I suspect they don't. In which case nothing they say has any value to us in the real world except as fiction.

Now, all you had to do was provide evidence as to what they said having relevance to our world.

Ben, you're an atheist. I presume you do not believe in a God or Gods for the most common reason and the simplest one: because no evidence of the existence of a God or gods has been provided. (If you have other reasons you can explain them, but they are usually evidence based, e.g. godhood is a logical impossibility, God cannot be both omnipotent and omniscient because each in and of themselves are impossible.)

Does this have anything to do with anything that anyone's been discussing anywhere near here?

Ben, why did you betray me by posting a reply message to me or one to which you obviously had to expect I would reply outside of the Troll Room?

I am trying to understand why you keep posting these new-age religions when you claim to be an atheist, and more than that, one who was not contaminated by religion from the start. I want to understand someone who supposedly has a rational basis for what his beliefs are - or at least I was under the impression you did - would believe this Eastern Religion crap. It's like you have a "Religion of the Month Club" where you propose some new whack-job religious belief to replace last month's cuit.

There is nothing religious about any of this. No belief is required, or even advised.
