Sure, but it's also a classic.
It belongs in any hotsauce fan's cupboard, a hotsauce collection is not complete without it.
Much like a proper liquor cabinet requires a bottle of Jack, it's not the best tasting (or hottest in Frank's case), but it's essential.

RobB, there is no shame in being a "405". You've only just begun, for chrissakes.

His question wasn't "hey, is this a classic?" His question was, how hot is it, relative to the world of hot sauces.

So what the fuck are you talking about?

I have a bottle sitting on my kitchen counter right now, DICK.

Is that After Death? If so, where did you see that ranking?

This is an improvement over what I normally get called, which is a "Ten Percenter."

I wish to make Sudden Death Wings. Here is the recipe I created for that purpose:

1. Melt a stick of butter in a bottles-worth of Sudden Death.

2. Fry a mess of wings.

3. Toss to coat.

If all goes as planned, these wings will be absolutely inedible.

Then I will move on to making more inedible food.

these were mostly regular old redhot wings (no butter, probably a teaspoon or two of louisiana habanero mixed in because the flavor is compatible with Buffalo wings) but with drops of dave's temporary insanity here and there.

the dave's definitely took the taste down a notch but cranked up the heat considerably. And the snot.

Yeah, but they were still edible.

I can't have that.

Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.

FireGirl rates Blair's Original Death as a "6 (Medium)" on the heat scale. I see no reason to disagree with FireGirl on this.

I don't have a Scoville rating for it, however.

It's a nice gateway sauce, if your goal is to ascend the heat ladder. If your goal is to ascend the flavor and deliciousness ladder, though, you're well on your way!

I went from a 450 to a 6? JESUS CHRIST!

I don't have a Scoville rating for it, however.
Where would you estimate it?

This is the guy who won't let me make my Thai and Indian curries as hot as I'd like them. Fuck you, 450. He threw away my new bottle of hot Thai hot chili sauce when we moved. Eat shit, 450.

You're in Colorado? For some bizarre reason I thought you lived in Canada.
