Is Larry Ellison actually a licensed commercial pilot?

Post by Tdarcos »

A Wikipedia article on Larry Ellison, 4th richest man in the world and founder of Oracle Corporation, claimed he is a licensed commercial pilot. So I decided to go look, by querying the FAA's public database of pilots. And yes, he's in there:

(1) How can I be a stalker? I'm bedridden in Virginia, he's in California.
(2) This was just to show how much information is publicly available in some cases.

I remember about 20 years ago when some people were giving out Bill Gates' Social Security Number to point out the Securities and Exchange Commission was failing to redact information from corporate filings the agency had posted online. I remember looking up the paperwork, and sure enough, it was there. Not that I remembered it, it was just an intellectual curiosity.
