Careful, those stains are impossible to get out of your dress.

Had some "Hadley and Sons" gin left over from the fourth so Monday evening Plum Cosmopolitans. Tried Hadley and Sons Gin on recommendation from a Total Wine guy because we've grown tired of Juniper forward gins. This gin is much more citrus and botanicals, i almost want to say its like a super subtle citron. Fresh squeezed plum juice, bit of Stirrings Cosmo mix, cosmo sugar rim and lime garnish finished it up.

When I lived in Playa del Rey, I had a bar I could walk to. The bartenders knew me. It was a pocket of low brow normalcy in the psychosis of LA.

My standard order when I walked in, my "the usual", was a Coors Light draft and a shot of Sailor Jerry.

These were the happiest times of my life. If anyone asks.
You didn't know any of us but Paul at that point though?
This was 2005. I knew everyone.
:(

"Playa del Rey," if I'm not mistaken, is in Los Angeles County (or, I might be slightly off but it is in Southern California). It was either before he met me, or after he left Maryland (and was out of contact with me.)

Yes, I just checked, Playa del Rey is right next to LAX, which I used to either visit or pass through on my way to Santa Monica (to get to Pepperdine University in Malibu.)

I have never tried Kool-Aid with booze of any kind, not sure if I'm proud of that or not.
Tonight is also Orange Crush with Leopold's gin.

A] never enough martini pictures
2] I am now FURIOUS that I can't get to the good liquor store and get that Hendrick's release. Not furious enough to have kids, but maybe to masturbate a little.

I'm back to Tanqueray and barley tea and waiting for that joyful moment that I can resume shopping from well-stocked liquorterias.

I'd like to hear Tdarcos' story about he found out about Sailor Jerry.
Someone on here mentioned it. I'm not even bothering to look for the reference, the search function on this board sucks harder than a Miele or a Dyson.

I think they said he was a well-known tattoo artist, for some reason New Orleans comes to mind.

The first alcoholic beverage I ever had that made me think "yeah, I kind of like that" was Sailor Jerry and Pepsi. I don't know why I stopped drinking them, the ol' sailor never did me no harm, but I went dry for a number of years before ICJ turned me back onto drinking.
