What, preytell, is this thing called a "new user"?
Tell me about it, ficticious user. We haven't seen a participating new user since, what, Billy Mays, and he's been here almost three years.

Ok, I'll concede to Flack on this one. I didn't want it as my avatar anyways.

For personal and professional reasons, I can't interact online with people who would use a picture representing 9/11 as their avatar. I am a huge proponent of free speech and I believe Billy has every right to change his avatar to anything he desires. Just know that the minute that occurs, I have to go.
Woah! That settles it -- we can't lose Flack. I have zero authority to do this, but I've decided to ban Billy from changing his avatar anyway. Going forward I think AArdvark should just assign a doodle avatar to each new user who makes at least one non-spam post because we obviously cannot handle this responsibility ourselves.

Any update on that avatar request, ICJ?

It was fun for a while, particularly when we missed Tdarcos' face popping up on the daily, but now that he's back and in full effect, I would request that we go back to user-appropriate avatars. Thank you.
+1.

Huh. That would certainly be nice. Because after all, I put that feature in for you guys, and you all abused it in a manner most cruel.
Sir, I must protest this unjust indictment by sweeping me into 'you all.' I used the picture of Homer Simpson - which no one else was using - until Li figured out how to inset my photograph.
