Got your email, MisterMan! I'll send the combat code over this weekend. :)

I wish that I had extracted the combat from Necrotic Drift in a handy package, but alas I did not.

If you can, send me an email at beaver@zombieworld.com. I'll attach the Necrotic Drift source and mail it to you, friend.

Something similar to Necrotic Drift. My game will use combat heavily, and that combat system seems like a good fit.

Hey there Misterman83!

So I have put different kinds of combat into ACS (as you saw), Fallacy of Dawn, Necrotic Drift and Cryptozookeeper. I can definitely pull out the combat code for one of those games if that would be helpful.

What sort of combat style are you looking to implement? Is it similar to a particular pre-existing RPG or anything? Early on I was influenced by Circuit's Edge, the old Infocom release.

But yeah, I'd be happy to help. The code for A Crimson Spring is pretty primitive now, so I bet I can do better in terms of instruction.

Hello everyone. I've studied all of the tutorials and I think I'd like to start on my first game. I only have one question: Where can I find a tactical combat system? I tried looking at the source for "a Crimson Spring", but couldn't figure out exactly how to use that combat system or which code I needed. Any help would be appreciated.
