I rewired the Casio a couple days ago, just because. Here's more oddness for you...

Well it's not pretty, but.....

But can you do something simple, like a straight playback of either The Washington Post march or A Whiter Shade of Pale?

This is the Yamaha PSS-680 Music Station, circa 1984. I usually only use it to midi thru and play stuff on my full size keyboard. there's five switch units left and they're all going in here if I can manage it.

This is the Radio Shack rebranding of the Casio SK-5. That's 10 switches on the side of that thing. It made some really whacked out noises when I did a test bend with alligator clips a couple weeks ago. I have high hopes for this, hope I don't brick it.

Each of the black knobs are five way switches, actually they are dual five ways but i probably won't use all of them. I used to have three switches on the thing, this is like putting in twenty switches. I don't have time to wire it up right now, life is getting in the way. Stay tuned to this bat channel...

Finally got the switches from Amazon. It seems they came from China and that's kind of a trick these days. Plus I didn't want to pay for shipping so it was a two week delay, but I'm in no hurry.

Thanks!

Just wait till I get that Casio SK-5 (the RadioShack rebrand model, actually) and the Yamaha PSS-680 all circuitbent. Funny, I've been sitting on them for the last 25 years or so and suddenly I get this urge to modify them. I'm gonna rewire that Casio Mt-240 as well, I feel there are sound possibilities as yet unreached. I'll midi them allll together and stand back while I hit the play button.

Yeah really good job with that Aardvark.

Sounds like Japanese anime music played on a walkman that is almost out of batteries. Quite captivating.

OK, I'm hijacking this thread because I cant find the one where I circuitbent my Casio keyboard.

I have three more keyboards that I'm planning on circuit bending. Stay tuned to this thread for updates.

here's the one I did a couple years ago.

Ok dropping the figit spinner idea. It was sketchy at best and a thin fad. So instead I'm making a Frankenstein switch. Seen them on Make.com and thought they look cool.

A hunk of laminate floor and some random aluminum over a standard light switch. Looks cool, gonna put it in the studio downstairs.

Dunno, they even charge for shopping bags. Maybe cardboard boxes.

There's free stuff at FedEx if, you know, if you were wondering.
You also reminded me, they have waybill bags, these are transparent envelopes that have a sticky back. Cut the sides, bottom and the ziploc strip at the top, and you get a piece of adhesive laminate you could run through a printer.

Those 1/2 sheet paper labels I mentioned in my previous missive are also good when printing FIM marked barcoded mail. It's good for increased automation and faster service.

See? I can be as inane as you!
