I fully approve of this joke.

But also...

HOT TIPS FOR SEARCHING THE WEB

1. At Google.com, duckduckgo.com, askjeeves.com, or altavista.com, you can use boolean search modifiers. Example:
Everyone at Jolt Country.com wrote: Retroromper ruined jolt country site:joltcountry.com
RetroRomper "ruined jolt country" site:joltcountry.com
The site:joltcountry.com modifier restricts searches to the given website, while putting a phrase or word in quotes such as "ruined jolt country" searches for that exact phrase as opposed to a partial or related (as defined by the engine of the web search portal you're using) results.

2. ICJ can add a Google Search box that essentially does the above, to the forum by following this method: https://programmablesearchengine.google.com/about/ I believe it's free (and Google already indexes everything, so why not) and should be easy to implement in phpBB3 as opposed to a 12 year old, end of life for at least a decade, back-end such as phpBB2.

3. ICJ could move phpBB3 to another system such as Xenforo that enables a more streamlined and simple to admin experience https://xenforo.com/purchase/ A tad pricey as all the options together come to $700, but there ya go.

4. Maybe ICJ could add a phpBB extension such as the Google Search mod? https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... oglesearch
and there are more available at https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/find ... 5D=36&sc=1

Just to reiterate, it is Retro's fault. But it was worth it, given the effusive gratitude he expressed after the changes he demanded were implemented. Hmm?

HMM!??!?!

Try doing a text search for "The Ballad of Paul Robinson" or for any message with a title having Paul Robinson in the title. "Search returns 0 hits."

So how about this one from June 13, 2019? The Ballad of Paul Robinson It's there, and you can read it; the point that it was posted by a guest user should not matter (me, since I was using a tablet and could not login).
